Bluesky was sold to me as a place to go without the absolute nonsense that Twitter became. I want to follow sports writers who like to cover sports and thanks to @theathletic.bsky.social I can do that here. Not every site has to be a bastion of discourse.

Some of us don’t go to social media for political discourse or someone else’s overall opinion on whether the earth is flat or not. I just want pictures of bunnies and Top 5 movie debates without nazi salutes and porn bots.
We’re good over here guys. Leave it alone.

Just don’t say anything. To steal from Mr. Sorkin, “when a guy is 1 for 20 from the floor why foul him. Just get out of the way and point him toward the basket.”

Gunslinger huh? I love King myself, but starting with gunslinger is tough. She’s either going to flip head over heels or be completely turned off. The Dead Zone. That would be my start.

I know first hand writing can be agonizing. Torture even. But I also love nothing more. It’s definitely a love/hate relationship. I cannot fathom not loving reading. That’s my happy place.

I’ve been wholeheartedly against robo umps from jump. But I’ve seen so many bad calls from behind the plate this season I’m officially just ready to get on with it already.

People suck.
Ya’ll would love this show if nobody watched it. It was your thing that first season that was cool that you felt like only you got but now it’s like a pop culture thing so it must be uncool.
2 and 3 weren’t as good as 1 but it’s still head and shoulders above 90% of the shit out there.

I ate here once. The food was quite good. Beyond the gimmic, would 100% recommend stopping in.

Primo getting canceled was wild. Great first season of television, incredibly watchable and amusing. Still don’t understand that decision, what could the budget on that show possibly have been?

I’d buy one tomorrow if they weren’t unbelievably expensive.
The dealer down the block from me has like 15 of these things on the lot, they are going nowhere.

“I think the whole world, can take a deep breathe.”
Jim. Bubby. Alot of us are holding our breathe these days but I assure you it’s not about Rory McIlroy or the stuffiest sporting event on the planet.

Every show always falters when the core group gets split up in the name of story.

As a reformed dipper, I have resisted the urge to hit the Zyns. Thankfully I generally despise those who champion them, so it’s been ok so far. But god damn it’s a struggle.

At one point against Auburn he got benched. Came back on. Turned it over on an inbounds. Auburn turned it over. Then he threw it in the stands.
Not sure he’s going to be missed.

I think adding into it the new AD at Maryland is an unknown to him. But we can’t rule out the age old tradition of generating interest from someone else to squeeze your current boss for a bigger bag.

I love the “missing class time to attend practices.”
Big basketball tournament going on right now guys. I’ll bet just about every dollar I have those kids haven’t entered a classroom since mid March.

The 9:40 Michigan tip is a freaking crime.
Every year the ncaa for two days has the greatest daytime weekday sporting event on the planet and then proceeds to take that momentum not 5 days later and just piss it away.

Dropped Twitter a couple months back. Have not missed being there for one second with the exception of when Andy Isaac passed. One of the most generous souls out there who made Twitter a better place.

When I was a kid, I got in trouble for something, can’t remember what. But I tried to say, “but my friend so and so” and my parents lost their shit and explained to me what other people did is not a defense for your behavior.
I can’t believe how wrong they were.

Like those of us in our late 40s in elementary classrooms of 25 kids didn’t notice the kids teachers labeled as “troublemakers” were a little different than everyone else.
Or got removed from the classroom altogether and placed in the special class.

Brendan, you have no idea how rare writers like you and those who have tried to make a go of it on this platform are.
It’s brave. It really is. And it’s appreciated. Truly.

How does the big ten tourney champ, playing in the latest game of all the postseason tourneys before selection wind up having to play Thursday at altitude? That’s horseshit.

My only criticism would be I wouldn’t be pissed if the league made aiding the ball carrier from going forward with a push from behind. Make him earn it with his own legs and the blocking up front.

One of the great personalities on Twitter. He is what Twitter was supposed to be before it got weaponized. Just connecting random strangers who brought you joy. I hope he finds peace.
