My field pays new starters daily (freelance work) and day rates have been stagnant at around £120-130 for 10hrs of work (often loosely policed and sometimes closer to 11hrs).
This used to be a good deal better than minimum wage and is now dangerously treading water.

The winter fuel cuts are a) fair and b) long overdue. PIP is another story altogether. More broadly there are structural issues that need addressed to stop every month's GDP figures oscillating between +0.1% and -0.1%...
