Look how practical it is!

Same same. Plus having an EV for short journeys and autos for work, means I’ve not driven a manual for almost 2 years.

There can’t have been many ordered with it.

As much as I love our family wagon, LED lights all round and a fancy TFT speedo make me dread the day something goes wrong.
Conversely, the Mii, with its modern EV drivetrain, is about as basic as it gets, with good old replaceable bulbs.

I wonder if you can downgrade the fancy lights to the simple ones, if the fancy ones go pop?

There are fake UK mobile numbers that exist for films, the DVLA could surely do the same?

It bugged me that the new Mission Impossible had obviously fake number plates.

Daft isn’t it. My wife managed to get flashed on the Autobahn, which inexplicably had a 100km/h limit in the middle of the night.

Yep, looks like it. Thanks.

Better than yours…
Sorry, not helpful. Hope it’s repairable.

Is there any such system that isn’t poorly implemented and just plain wrong at least half the time?

Pop the GRMN in the boot of the GX, best of both worlds.

Yeah, 140km/h sort of kills the economy.

Today, and whole trip.

I was amazed this morning, how easily an unmarked police car scythed through traffic at a set of lights in Paris. It’s almost as if the other drivers had heard the siren and acted accordingly.

Their changes to the T&Cs are getting borderline draconian. Then there was 36 quid for lunch at the terminal. I sometimes wish I could stomach the ferry.

As usual made it to an earlier train, although I declined their generous offer of £107 extra for the next available.

Just waiting at the tunnel for the return crossing.

Our return journey has been ‘balls to economy’ so far.

Hope you’ve had a smooth crossing.

450ish miles in ours today, 500+ tomorrow. Wagons rule.

It won’t let me screenshot due to DRM, so here’s a couple of pictures of the TV playing it.

It’s one of two they used on the Long Way Home series.

Not planning on making any more.

We’re outliers in my wife’s family, her other siblings have a minibus each.

People who use them seem to rate them very highly. Always thought relying on seatbelts to attach rather than ISOFIX was an odd choice.
We took the cheaper option of having 2 kids.

I have a Viofo A119, bit basic but it’s been reliable, and they’re pretty cheap.

Parts guy’s wondering why you’ve stuck Lexus badges on your Landcruiser. Decided to humour you anyway.

I’m utterly distracted by the awful fit of his glasses, who on earth sold him them?

Yep. Never seen an SVR that wasn’t drive by a complete tool.
In Cheshire, JLR SUVs are the must have status symbol, the automotive equivalent of the dubious cosmetic procedures the drivers all seem to have undergone.

My in-laws used to do Cardiff-Dundee a few times a year on the coach. I don’t suppose you’d consider that transport option?

It’s when you find that the original thing wasn’t even broken that is most upsetting.

Fix a thing, break a thing, it’s how the world goes round.

That, or people just stop dead in the middle of the road, the second they hear the sirens.

I’ve seen marked cars, and ambulances struggling to make themselves noticed.
I also see a concerning number of road users of all types wearing earphones, so they’ve got much less chance of hearing what’s going on around them.

I told this, and his car was new enough to be Euro 6, so wasn’t going to be an issue. The rules seem much less strict than the various UK zones.

I did. A Ford branded one, out of my dad’s Escort.

I had a serious desire for one of these as a kid, I so much wanted my parents to sell their Escort estate and buy one.

I had a Polish guy asking me about them on the train over here, he was concerned about getting stopped without one.

Wait, they’re binning it? I only just got a replacement after the Audi dealership lost mine.

Impressed so far, although the drivers side seems to have a slight vibration at 70+, might need rebalancing. Had cause to test the braking grip a couple of times, no complaints there.
