I was happy I was only a passenger, honestly. I can recall us stopping before the DC area and making sure all the choices of roads were known ahead of time.

This has a lot of good options to play with. But I'll also use ddrescue, dvdisaster, isobuster, etc as needed, when perfection seemingly isn't an option. Also trying different drives can help. github.com/SabreTools/MPF

Most of them have been surprisingly okay. I seem to have been able to get most if not all of the data off with some work and trying different tools. It is what it is ultimately, we just do our best 😄
