We are the first generation that has sufficient resources to put a roof over every head, a meal on every table, to provide education and basic health care to all, and to care for the planet. Yet we don't. You have to ask what is wrong with us?

Republicans are the kind of people who will blow all the household savings on a golf trip and then blame their wife that she didn't get steak for dinner.

@jessicatarlov.bsky.social does not get anywhere near the recognition she deserves.

What Ted Cruz keeps doubling down on is effectively "I don't care how many people are in Iran, what their political, religious or other beliefs are, they all deserve to die - even the children" Ted Cruz is a despicable POS.

There is a sudden uptick of completely irrelevant reporting on Democrats recently. Who cares about presidential candidates before we have even seen if we will have fair midterms (or even just have midterms)? It's almost like the media are covering for Trump...

It's almost like having an excellent work/life balance makes people more productive. The boardrooms of corporate America are full of sociopaths who don't understand the first thing about running a business.

I wish we could have that debate in the USA. In the meantime, intent is a particularly important definition in the justice system, and I don't think it is unreasonable to judge any ICE agent who points a weapon at a member of the public to the NRA's definition.

The closet I call my head is full of junk like this that I have accumulated over a lifetime. I sometimes wish I could clear that junk to store useful things I need to be able to find...

The Supreme Court ensured that elections cannot be won without massive amounts of money. I fear we have a circle that cannot be squared.

Trump is a weak man who is easily manipulated. The people who are manipulating him hide in the shadows because they know what they are doing is indefensible.

In the case of the one county in NY we at least have a ruling requiring a hand recount. Maybe this will provide the evidence needed to question more results. Proving guilt is a painfully slow process. themarijuanaherald.com/2025/06/supr...

I don't know, but I am inclined to assume that is Democrats, and in particular Mark Elias at @democracydocket.com are not in court that there is not sufficient evidence to challenge the result (maybe yet). The electoral college and makeup of the senate are a powerful combination.

To be fair, most democracies have done a better job of nurturing their citizens than any administration since Reagan. Problems in the US electoral system have given conservatives a structural advantage that true democracy has not been able to break through.

Real "I'm from the government and I'm here to help" vibes coming from Mike Lee on this topic.

Frankly, this decision is of little consequence so long as congress allows Trump to use the presidency to enrich himself.

Conservatives don't vote based on these issues.

Innocent bystander killed by a 'good guy with a gun' is the inevitable collateral damage of America's insane relationship with Guns.

New rule: Any judge who has more than one ruling struck down as unconstitutional by SCOTUS should be required to resign.

Don't you just miss all those adverts from law firms claiming they will get you compensation for your mesothelioma?

It's not the existence of liability insurance that concerns me, it's the extent of the liability covered. Maybe you have access to an insurance contract you can post?

I wonder if Tucker Carlson has the self-awareness to understand that the people he is criticizing here are the same people he has advocated for relentlessly (and disingenuously) for the whole of his career.

The election loss in 2024 was not "massive". It was a very narrow, albeit critical, defeat. As soon as I see a journalist mischaracterizing a topic in this way I question their motives. My assessment: POLITICO is trying to create a distraction to cover Republican chaos.

It only talks about insurance for riders and makes no mention of any insurance for third parties. If you have any evidence of what their insurance covers for people outside the vehicle, please go ahead and post it. I remain worried.
