The Ford Ma Concept is really neat because it has what appears to be functional suspension and half shafts.

I believe that we need to make the wieners more slippery as I’ve detailed in my analysis of how to build a faster Wienermobile. bsky.app/profile/bozi...

Planning to head to Indy tomorrow.

For those that are curious about their aerodynamic properties, here is a CFD study of the Wienermobile. Courtesy of Dan Mather from Digital Engines.

The Wienermobile uses a GM 6L90E gearbox which has probably paced IMS at some point in the past as it can be found in cars like the Chevy Camaro and Cadillac CTS-V along with appearances in the Chevy Silverado and GMC Sierra.

The Wienermobile paint also has a connection to IndyCar as it from PPG. The bun is color code 82355, which first appeared as Sunburst yellow on 1977 and 1978 Datsuns. The hot dog is color code 60488, a shade of orange first used on Ford fleet vehicles in the early Seventies.

There have been reports that teams have complained in the past but I was unable to get anyone to confirm it so did not use it in my story. IndyCar spy photography isn't generally as intense or advanced as what we see in NASCAR or F1.

The scrutineering faults were covered in extreme detail in my story above. I spent a significant amount of time watching videos of technical inspection, reading technical documents, and speaking with people that have experience with it before ever putting a single word down.

I cannot force them to put a car in a wind tunnel. I can only respond with the information that I have to people stating that what I wrote is false.

I stated in my story that it was illegal and confirmed the exact sections of the rule book that make it illegal. The main assertion of my story is that IndyCar technical inspection has big issues which aligns with the independent governing body assertion as well.

I did not make any statements about what they should have done procedurally in 2024. I stated that facts as I know them on what has happened with the part and responded to your allegations that my explanation of the aesthetic changes is incorrect or faulty.

I am not saying that. I am saying that it's extremely improbable that you can gain that significant of a change by smoothing something out that is outside of the airflow when making a measurable change to the rear wing only equals 4 counts.

These attenuators were used on every type of car once they were put into rotation from ovals, to road courses, and street courses. bsky.app/profile/dani...

I spoke with over two dozen people in order to come to my conclusions and put in a significant amount of research in order to write an accurate story. Here is some math to respond to the above thread. bsky.app/profile/bozi...

If all of that isn't enough, one of the key players that was at Penske that is no longer there shared his opinion of my analysis earlier.
