In my experience, infill doesn’t tend to draw CEQA questions. I think that CA needs nuanced thought on where & how housing is built. Infill is best cuz you already have a built environment & that’s where people live. CEQA is valuable to be sure new dev. is done w/o bad environmental consequences.

What’s your point?

We won a lawsuit using CEQA law to keep a housing development out of a high severity fire zone.

This budget contains a backroom deal between Newsom & Weiner that decimates CEQA oversight for housing-this is NOT good & we should ask that to be taken out. I’m all for housing, but not at the cost of our environment. CEQA has helped our city make sure housing protects our new residents from fire.

Both need to grow a spine and stand strong against this illegal act of war without Congressional approval.

Then Congress needs to go after him right NOW…full stop. If he doesn’t go to them, impeach him! I know-probably won’t work-but do it anyway. Put the spotlight on him.

Add this to the list of things to regulate when he’s gone. This is the people’s house, not his.

I live in CA & you’re not going to be able to build housing here. These are very rural areas & not near population & job centers where people need housing. Just another grift so rich folks can build their private cabins & the money helps pay for billionaires’ tax cuts. Once it’s gone, it’s gone. 😡

So who’s filed the lawsuit? Seems to me some member of Congress or the DNC should do it NOW!

What you said about people’s willingness to run for office-at any level-is correct. I was a city councilmember & it’s getting harder to find good folks to run for office. They don’t want to subject themselves or their family to folks who tweet/text/email whatever they want, no matter how wrong/vile.

Why aren’t they in uniform? If the work you’re doing is legal, you should have no problem being ID’d as a Federal agent.

@governorwalz.mn.gov Please pass along my prayers & healing wishes to the 2 legislators who were shot. I’m in tears thinking about their families and how terrified they must be. God bless the people of Minnesota. ❤️🩹🙏
