producer; even if his ideas didn’t always pay off. I’ve been a hardcore Doctor Who fan for over 15 years and I didn’t know that his story ended so sadly. A true talent lost. RIP. ❤️❤️❤️ #DoctorWho

Not the best story in the world, but it certainly has it’s merits. Parts 1 and 2 are shimmering with atmosphere and the Sontarans are surprisingly badass. Alas, come Part 6, everything devolves to a silly runaround inside the TARDIS, but it almost doesn’t matter. Tom and Louise are electric. 7/10.

I think the things that the Dead Ringers team have decided to mock in this sketch are the least of the show’s worries. The things that actually need rectifying are the convoluted storylines and the use of the programme’s past as a crutch. The Billie Piper line was quite funny, though.

Most Doctors have their ‘definitive’ companion. For Jon, it’s Jo. For Tom, I personally believe it’s Sarah Jane. For Sylv, it’s Ace. The definitive companion for Colin Baker’s Doctor, as far as I’m concerned, is Evelyn. She challenged the archetype of what a companion should be.

Ouch. I think Jon Culshaw will have to give up the Brig’s reigns at Big Finish for this.

I think Series 1 is guilty of that adolescent “NOT Doctor Who” syndrome, but come Series 2, the tone cools down considerably. The show is still exploring dark themes, but it isn’t constantly screaming; “Look, blood! Look, sex! Look, naughty words!” The whole approach is just more mature.
