I’m reminded of James Baldwin’s 1962 “Nobody Knows My Name”…
“When the South has trouble with its Negroes—when the Negroes refuse to remain in their ‘place’—it blames ‘outside agitators’ and ‘Northern interference.’ When the nation has trouble with the Northern Negro, it blames the Kremlin.”

The same FBI that conducted a systematic campaign of psychological terror against MLK where they tried to get him to commit suicide; looked at a violent fascist who ran a paramilitary training camp for Nazis & was barnstorming US churches speaking to thousands & said "meh, nothing can be done."
