Yeah, usually there's a generation between parents and kids - Millenials raised by Boomers, Gen Z raised by Gen X

It's almost impressive that he Rocker still stands out as a garbage person, among pro baseball players, 20 years after he retired

And I thought my new bright yellow Lidl clogs were the most stylish footwear I was going to see this week

Fun 441 story, it runs through both Athens and Gainesville. So in the pre-smartphone era, hungover after a weekend visit to UGA, I decided the best way to get back to UF was just to take 441 all the way. It took 8 hours and the radio only picked up Sunday morning bible broadcasts. Would do it again

I have driven all (or nearly all) the interstate miles in: - GA - Florida (except 75 from Naples-Miami) - SC (except maybe 95 between 26 and 20) - VA surprisingly (except for a few stretches of 64) Also interstate-map.com is really well done for looking at the routes.

Human blood can boil even below 28C. Ex. The good doctorb read these posts in a comfortable air conditioned environment, and now his blood is boiling.

I don't even do half this much prep for my kids

Basically every take on Superman is boring and stupid. His only weakness is green rocks. Every Superman storyline is contrived to make him seem beatable.

Looks like it's mounted in the cheapest frame you can buy at Michael's

They built a new one near my house and it has a huge patio and it's incredible and somehow there isn't a Fellinis next door.

I don't ride the Marta bus often, but every time I do I try to figure out how to swipe my breeze card. And every time the bus driver says to leave it alone and go sit down. Pretty sure Atlanta busses are free at this point.

Lol. Even this trash Atlanta United team's lowest attendance is over 39k

shortest and longest distances between the school's basketball/baseball/football stadiums. Or the nearest Zoo.

We have a tiny sailboat my grandpa built at their lake house. I think I'm the last person to take it out ~5 years ago, but it might be time to try it out again this summer.

Oh the position player is pitching in the bad way. Oh no

Looks like they built their school in a mixed-use shopping center.

Pssshhh. At Louisville you can ride off in the back of Papa John's Camaro

They should be required to buy it for whatever price you demand. For some reason they never call me back when I say $2M

100% agreed. Still better odds than me actually returning a serve.

I figure the only chance I have in any of these is if i can win on a fluke. So that tiny chance of a double-fault, a baseball walk, or something similar gives me better odds than trying to not get murdered at football/basketball

My only chance would be if she double-faulted

Not nearly as cool as a Mercury Sable.

Morgan Freeman is 88 and that one is going to hit because he's seemed like he's in his 60s my entire life

Post-WW2 media also means that we can still see and imagine all of these people as they were at the peak of their fame. You couldn't do that in the era before recorded video.

Not just an unnecessary scold, but this person has clearly never played softball. That thrift store bat is gonna be dead as hell and basically useless.

It's because you named it. Generic storm isn't capitalized. Asshole Storm is a proper noun.

My suburban coworkers think I have a death wish because I take MARTA to work.

Ah nevermind then. Maybe submit a 311 request?

Yeah either watershed or public works would be the people to call.

Bunkie Boards are relatively cheap. Designed to hold up a mattress so it won't fall through the bed slats and under $200 even for a king bed. Similar to this, might be able to find them cheaper www.roomstogo.com/furniture/pr...

I was thinking last night that any Marlins Playoff game would be a good answer, because the entire Skyline would be united against them and suffering for it.

Everybody would have hated the 1991 Braves by the time the playoffs started. It would've been great.
