Whats the opposite of a victory lap? Democrats failed the average american by bragging about the strong economy biden built without aknowledging that a strong economy doesnt mean shit if it only benefits the rich. Democrats cant win until they stop bowing to the "liberal" donors

This is one of the most sickening things I have ever seen. Forcing children to participate in political charades is abuse. American christian conservatives have no sense of irony and cannot recognize they are the followers of the antichrist described in their bible.

And how did they factor in the fact that vaccinating everyone around high risk people lowers their risk of COVID?

America is built on the self proclaimed saviors of the problem the saviors also claim to be pioneers of. Spoiler alert, they are just masters of exploitation. Just look at the financial industry.

So can we start harassing, kidnapping, jailing without due process, and deporting any conservative that has posted pro life messages on social media?

The sad thing is that any amount of land being returned is a huge deal, but "thousands of acres" is a molecule in a drop in the bucket.

It should be easy to piss off your own party when you are the poster boy for corruption. The surprising this is that he is pissing off people who have been cheering on his corrupt and unethical behavior for years.

I always love when people try to argue that even though through all of human history the wealthy will hoard wealth to the detriment of the masses, suddenly we have devised a way to allow wealth hoarding to spread the wealth. Maybe if we let racists be racist we can solve racism!

What's surprising about a conservative sounding like they didn't pass 3rd grade? The most shocking part is a conservative claiming to be against polluting. I guess she doesn't know her own cult's stace on protecting the environment...

Most companies are going to raise prices whether they are affected or not, so I think you can go ahead and blame tariffs either way.

When these people make up bogus numbers, do they even realize how big of a number 119,000,000 is? Is their base really gullible enough to think that more than 1/3 of the entire country is at risk of accidental fentanyl overdose?

So billionaires are spending significantly more money for larger market teams based on subjectivity? They do it because those teams have the ability to create larger revenue due to a larger local population. There's nothing subjective about it.
comment in response to

So it is just a coincidence that franchise value is directly correlated to market size and value is directly correlated to revenue? It is also a coincidence that the "poorest" owners own less valuable teams is smaller markets. Do you not get how important market size is in any capital venture?
comment in response to
post
If having Daddy Steinbrenner buy a championship is fun I guess I can't stop you from enjoying it. In the end, all small market teams can do is be bitter and fantasize about having a chance. What's more American than the rich getting richer? I guess that's why it's called America's Pastime!

So the same companies that increased prices of goods by more than the increased cost of production during COVID are not only not going to disproportionally gouge again but will actually eat the cost?
comment in response to

Never said the bay area is a small market, I said the NYC metro area is, larger. Which it is by over 10,000,000 peolple. Which is a difference that is larger than almost every teams entire markets.
comment in response to

The Athletics owner being a scumbag doesnt change the fact that the financial status of owners and circumstancial situations of teams is more of a factor than talent. What is the point of sports if success is bought? Again, just trying to have a friendly sports debate in a crucial political hellhole
comment in response to
post
Thats why I said there are several factors. And the Steinbrenners are not far behind Fisher in wealth but have a much larger market and much larger national fan base which means they have to put less of their own money in after ticket/merch/media income for the same payroll.
comment in response to
post
Genuine question, how is it not also a huge tax increase on the lowest classes too?
comment in response to
post
Should teams and fans be punished for where they are or how stingy their owner is? Should competition be determined by how rich a team and owner is and not how well it is managed?
No hate or disrespect, I love a good sports debate. But baseball is the only american sport run like american politics.
comment in response to
post
There are more factors than how much owners put in. Larger markets earn more in ticket and misc sales, older teams have more entrenched national fanbase (more merch sales and more valuable media deals), and more valuable clubs attract richer owners that can put more into payroll on top of team value
