I would like to say this is hyperbole, but I grew up in the shadow of that plant. And you're 100% truthful here.

A baker I follow said the price of eggs for her has gone up $40 in the last 30 days. (She buys the giant cases of eggs at Costco. Used to be $99. Now $140.)

I don't serve an ESL population now, but I taught math and science to ESL students for years. They were some of my hardest working, sweetest, and most appreciative students.

I unfollowed everyone and deleted it off my phone. But that's a really good idea.

I really enjoyed this book. It helped me take a look at myself and how to be an accomplice rather than an ally.

I never saw Everything Everywhere. I love the theme of triumph over evil though. Hunger Games, Divergent, and Marvel are in that category for me.

Oh, that’s a good list! I love 13 Going on 30! I haven’t seen Galaxy Quest.

A lot of people hated book 1, but I thought it was good. I hope you enjoy it!

Book 1 was good, but book 2 is the book that lives rent free in my head. So jealous that you get to read it for the first time!

I don't know, but it makes it feel extra rude. 😭

Another reason? I can not express just how little I care if China wants to spy on me while I watch booktok hypotheses about Onyx Storm. My Chinese spy will either become a Rebecca Yarros fan or be bored out of their mind.

A person convicted of multiple felonies can’t be in the military either. So how can he be commander-in-chief?

Also? Banting and Best sold their patent to Eli Lilly for $1 because they believed the cure belonged to the world and that Eli Lilly could produce it on a larger scale than they ever would be able to.
