Ordinary, it's #1 now, by Alex Warren. Die With A Smile is fine, but it's kind of stupid that its continued domination is overshadowing the rest of the album.

As far as other newish releases in pop, I highly recommend Rose Gray, who's a UK artist, and Rico Nasty just dropped an album a couple weeks ago. The BLACKPINK girls are also getting slept on state-side aside from APT., but I'd say their solo projects have been pretty decent.

Miley's new album is quite good, but it's not making any waves. Mayhem of course is an amazing album, but Abracadabra is struggling. Katy Perry sucks now, Kesha's making no noise, Sabrina and Charli are resting, Tate McRae is there I guess... It's just been so weird.

Everyone's like "recession pop is so back!" But that doesn't actually seem to be the case. The top 10 is dominated by men, and the main pop girrls are all flopping or doing mid. It's weird as fuck.

No one thought it would actually hit! Mind blowing honestly

We all yelled when it actually hit 23. Like holy fuck, straight out of a film

Gay people have been ironically calling things gay for awhile, yes. No malice meant behind it lol

I honestly didn't process who had made the bet 😆 Bless your kind heart for donating it back to the house!

Yeah. I think it's just a thing of, many just want to be seen as a "man" or "woman," no qualifying prefix. But other people own it loud and proud and don't give a fuck, and that's okay too.

Yeah. But I think also this is something some cis people just don't realize is weird. Like I think it's also weird when people say "this black guy," for example, if his race is irrelevant. (This doesn't apply if writing an actual story and using flowery synonyms to describe skin tone though)

Sorry to butt in, I just had the thought: In theory, this argument can be made about any slur. But honestly, those with privilege should know better. I think the onus should always be on them if they somehow get it in their head they're allowed to say it just because we do.

So again, why does this matter if BlackRock sucks either way? It may be cliché, but I do still think principle and integrity when it comes to honesty in reporting does matter. But also: It only gives ammunition for us to be made to look stupid if we fall for fake news. Always be vigilant.

For those unaware, anyone can write articles on Medium, and the article itself is not written in any sort of journalistic voice. medium.com/@hrnews1/bla... That + them putting such a cartoonishly evil thing in quotes was the tip-off.

So for example, this came across my timeline: bsky.app/profile/darr... While UnitedHealth and BlackRock do suck, this article is not correct (although it does cite a correct source). UH is being sued for lying about what their profits would look like. www.cbsnews.com/news/unitedh...
