I seriously do not understand why every statement by my congressman sounds even flatter than a “spineless” satirical quote from @theonion.com. I cannot wait to help primary this man. I don’t care if my rep is speaker or if I canvassed with WFP to get him elected the first time in 2012. Do better.

@cmshahanahanif.bsky.social is probably the nicest politician I’ve ever met and these hateful ads by Maya Kornberg’s Uber/Billionaire proxies make me want to vomit. I’m so tired of Islamophobia being a winning tactic for douchebags for 2/3 of my life. I hope District 39 makes the right choice.

At least with Iraq the cynics among us could make bad jokes like “looks like we gotta go deliver some DEMOCRACY!” Or something equally f’ed up. There’s no funny outer lining with attacking Iran. Just pure hate and stupidity. There will be no Team America: World Police to help us laugh through it.

@tonymelone.bsky.social says it better than anyone else. It is unfortunate that a mayor’s race has become the single biggest referendum on our democracy when so much else is going on. Everyone should do their part so we can finally turn the page. Volunteer, harass your friends. We can do this.
