I will continue to highlight how much of a weak little b***h my congressman is. I will do everything I can to primary this man out next year. I don't care if my rep isn't the Speaker of the ashes. bsky.app/profile/bren...

Yes! I swear it actually helps make people work together! Imagine that! Progressive politicians not punching each other in the face while the Right watches with glee! Of course, now I know why they'll try everything to prevent it from being used nationally. bsky.app/profile/bren...

Honestly, I prefer to use his own words in his name: Hakeem We will respond in a time, place, and manner of our choosing… it will be continuous and it will meet the moment that is required Jeffries. bsky.app/profile/thet...

Imagine never needing to hear "Clinton won by speaking to the middle" for the rest of your life. 🥰

On the other hand, if we put him to bed tomorrow, we can all watch laughingly while he tries to climb back up from an even lower rung of municipal NYC politics, just like another disgraced sexual offender: gothamist.com/news/brookly...

Quote is inaccurate. See below: "The city..KZZT... is in real trouble, crime, homelessness...BZZT.... Who can actually make gov work? Who can get the garbage...KZZT... picked up, who can get the mentally...RZZT... ill off the streets, who can make the city safe?" Think he called from Westchester.

Hey now! He showed up to a “large union rally” (media’s words) last Monday (which was really just a mid-sized conference room with like 200 handpicked sycophants in it) so at least get your facts right!

Take it from an American - if you gave them another chance they would do it again…

And I’m sorry, if two of your biggest wins as governor are replacing an old bridge and renovating the shittier of two airports when 99% of the state wanted both of those things done anyways… that’s not really a “hard fought win.” Even if you do name one of them after your dad for no f***ing reason.

And yet in the “key takeaways” they still name a bunch of Cuomo’s “accomplishments” and then berate Mamdani for all the same BS in his.

Very strange as a “white male” to be on the… not fucked up side of a poll.

Like, really, Trump declares an illegal war and @aoc.bsky.social immediately, and rightfully calls for his impeachment. My guy literally just says: “he bears the heavy burden of explaining.” Give me a break.

The road may not have been all that hard in the beginning but it was definitely a long-ass one.

The people in charge of the party in New York prioritize job security over all else. Sadly, it’s not much more complicated than that, and people aren’t really aware it’s that petty either.

He’s had more upbeat positive ads than almost any campaign I’ve ever seen and it’s one of the reasons I’ve supported him so much. Unfortunately, “scary Zohran” ads are 50% of commercials in NYC right now and for some reason this shit resonates with people more no matter how much I wish it didn’t.
comment in response to post
I’m trying to be polite still even though yes - I’ve absolutely fucking had it with this shit.
comment in response to post
At least Brad and Zohran teaming up has finally taught me that you can build political coalitions without the requirement of everyone needing to be a total piece of shit. I hope that’s the big takeaway this week and all these guys are forced into irrelevancy once and for all.

If ancient, sexual abuser Bill Clinton can pen a lazy endorsement while being a POS in Mt. Kisco or DC (wherever he is)… Then you can help. Volunteer for @zohrankmamdani.bsky.social and @bradlander.bsky.social until Tuesday night. Help us finally turn the page on the POS who can’t even beat Trump.

Yes, please, for the love of god let this s*** end the right way so we can finally f***ing move on from these pieces of s***. I so badly want you to be vindicated and not them.

The Ringer actually lets people cook. Sometimes that’s Chris Vernon saying the most desperately optimistic stuff I don’t agree with at all or Russillo being a total tool - but at least they’re trying to be analysts instead of whatever ESPN is now!
comment in response to post
Oh wow I always thought it was Entertainment and Stephen (a smith calling lebron a bum for the hundredth time) Programming Network.
comment in response to post
Shhh I’m glad the Ringer has him again and not ESPN.

People who know, know this guy will do literally anything except help the party address an issue that actually matters.

The problem is that you’re getting very in the weeds and acting like I disagree with you. I don’t. I prefer Lander and Myrie’s housing proposals 1,000x over. However, I just understand that ranking Zohran helps to ward off Cuomo, who I hate and who I also don’t think will bring ANY prices down.

I don’t get it. Do you think I’m saying “only rent control” and not build more? Building more is the most important issue in New York and I scream that we need to do that every day. However, in the interim, we could help some of the poorest people afford to stay here. That shouldn’t sound crazy.
comment in response to post
I have read books on urban decline. I have written about urban decline. I have looked at studies too that say rent controls can help, and studies that say it will not. I’ll stay away from ChatGPT summaries and YouTubers for my economic opinions though.

How are landlords who raise rent and it's relation to low national inflation in any way related to the actions of mayor in one city?
comment in response to post
He has a plan to increase construction of new buildings. Also, DeBlasio froze the rent in 2015, 2016, and 2020. I lived here all that time, and believe me, the city is still standing.
comment in response to post
The people in charge of the Dem party are petty and prioritize job security over anything else. So they will gladly push issues that are not really issues for people to fight about. It's why e-bikes and antisemitism are all you hear about and not that most of us can't afford rent.
comment in response to post
Hey now, people still do that! It's annoying! But it doesn't make it feel "unsafe." Driving in a car around New York drivers on the other hand?! Now THAT is risky.
