This is a politically popular approach for lawmakers because you get to look pro-affordable housing while not materially affecting the donor class and laundering NIMBY objections in a do-gooder veneer. But it's regressive and counterproductive to the goal of broadly solving affordability issues.

Very frustrating to have a Mayor who could personally solve this crisis for decades without touching his principal but won't He's also withholding the ERAF, which by itself would solve SFUSD's deficit

Elected democrats need to understand they don’t control the police departments in cities they govern. Look at San Francisco: they deposed their progressive DA and the police are still maintaining a work stoppage.

The one in the thumbnail is the Cayuga Slow street at Geneva, about a block and a half from Balboa High. A person was killed by a driver at the intersection just last summer!

I cross that slow street intersection daily and the amount of disregard for the flex posts / right only signage is insane. Does nothing, no enforcement, and it's right next to a high school!

The more relevant thing is that they took money from LAFD to give to LAPD and incidentally no one I've seen is complaining that the LAFD or the firefighters gathering from all over the western states are doing anything but their best. Also Musk is the worst, but everyone knows that.

Tons of journalists got into the business as simply as a way to extend their college experience, which is really kind of pathetic. This is how we got bothsidesism and insanely "balanced" opinion sections (debate culture). It's why evil and insanity are treated as mere "worldviews" like any other.
