My mother used to make bread pudding with old bread. Rip it up and toss with a couple of eggs, and milk. Add some brown sugar and raisins, and cook until it's browned and set up (about 45 minutes to an hour at 350).
This also makes a great breakfast, if you add a bit of cinnamon to it
