It really brought to mind the fight between Shaw and Bond in FROM RUSSIA WITH LOVE.

Some nice set pieces in this one.
Dalton is probably the best actor to play Bond, but for me the best scene in this is the kitchen fight and he's not in it.

This whole Spider-Verse thing is getting out of hand.😀

I watched ORCHESTRA WIVES last week and saw this Nicholas' Brothers routine. They are great.

I had S/LSH, JLA, DEFENDERS, AVENGERS, INVADERS, NOVA and AQUAMAN.
The latter I read on my first plane trip. I was alone and 11 years old.

I'm good.
Just stay away from those weird kids in the upside down rocket ship.

Wish he went back to animating and that Arthur Davis had stayed in the director's chair.

So now I'm imagining Sprang coming out of retirement to draw an I DREAM OF JEANNIE comic.
TBH, I am all in.

I think ALTER EGO and the KIRBY COLLECTOR are due next week, so that sets up my summer reading.

Great season. All the stories are great.
Wish Caroline had been given more to do and had stuck around longer.

I read this off the racks and loved it.
Surprised no one has mentioned that Giffen was showing some heavy influence from Philippe Druillet.
His LSH issues 287 and 288 show he was still drawing on him.

Oh, that is nice. Kinda getting a Steve Rude vibe off it.
And really digging Barda.

I like the packaging. The sculpt is a little too blocky for Lightray, but I imagine that is the body type for the line. Points for trying to duplicate Kirby lines on the legs.
It just needs better articulation.

Is that a Mattel Lightray?
If so, not looking forward to them taking over the DC license next year.

Yes, indeed.
That costume is a George Perez design, and this is last issue pencilling.

Had a Super City set, but not with the helicopter.
Douglas Coupland, writer of GENERATION X, is a huge fan.
20 years ago he created a museum exhibit inspired by it.

I wonder if all of THE SAINT books are available in one consistent trade dress from one publisher.

Nice. That's the one I've been living to the most over the past few years.
I've found that I can't really listen to much early Island material anymore, but I think that's more a case of over familiarity. We listened to that a lot when it was first released.

Asylum, early or late Island, or Anti?
And Happy upcoming Birthday!

May it be a day if peace and calm for you both.

I really want to see this line come back, but, sadly, this 2022 SDCC exclusive really missed the mark.
Nice paint, but no articulation, and, most importantly, no space helmet.
