our councilmembers said they shouldn't have to recuse on pro-landlord legislation that would directly benefit them because it'd "disenfranchise" the people who voted for them

Wilson vs Harrell is another Millennial Energy vs Boomer Inertia matchup & local establishment is failing to clock very high levels of normie Dem rage nationally that will slake its thirst locally. it's too late for them to pivot bsky.app/profile/juli...

People forget Bruce barely squeaked out a victory (by 344 votes) to a political rookie named Tammy Morales in 2015. After that he declined to run again, kept his head down through the George Floyd protests, and emerged afterwards as the reactionary centrist establishment candidate. He can be beaten

A lot of people are assuming the inevitability of Bruce Harrell too (which is not supported by the polls). Mamdani shows us it doesn't have to go down like that bsky.app/profile/mbkp...

Anyways it'd be pretty funny if their Insta inbox was jammed with 100 ppl sending them this article. Literally the least we can do. In the comments there's a whole shitload of ppl tagging Pramila & saying "WTFFF??" She is literally endorsing MAMDANI & BRUCE HARRELL at the same time, wtf indeed

Back in old Twitter days I noticed Jeanne Kohl-Welles (fmr King Co councilmember) was having a fundraiser party & Ian "Uncle Ike" Eisenberg was one of the co-hosts (literally the most toxic guy on Capitol Hill). I called her out on it & she had to be like "I don't even know him!" Well you should lol

she donated $100 to his campaign. it's in the SEEC filings

to be clear: we have odd year elections here that draw half the turnout of even years. this structurally favors NIMBYs and reactionary centrists

Mike was and is a good dude and the last mayor we had who wasn't backed by megamoney PACs. seems almost impossible that someone like that could win now (of course Joe Mallahan is back so maybe he'll split the douche vote again)

Erika Evans saying she's gonna stand up to Trump YOU DIDN'T EVEN STAND UP TO BRUCE in fact you gave him $100!

If we can't boot that clown with all of his associated scandals & failures, we certainly have no right to talk trash about zombie lib Cuomo voters, that's for sure

We need close the book on the unbroken line of awful neolib leadership that stretches from Ed Murray to Jenny Durkan to Bruce Harrell, who all shared the same donors, consultants & institutional support & who all presided over historic crises in homelessness, affordability & police accountability
