Where is Portland is this? I must visit with Rosie @obob.dog

Do you like to cook? Try getting the Six Seasons cookbook and make whatever veggies you have available to you locally. Game changer.

i love that it has a shoulder strap

can you send me the claude_desktop_config.json snippet you're using?
comment in response to post
Ah okay. It looks like there may be something wrong with your config or auth given that the call to get-my-handle-and-did call is failing. It should behave like this:

what mcp client and model are you using? i've found that claude desktop + sonnet is a good place to start.

Even an imperfect estimate would be interesting. Maybe using something like for posts and links www.npmjs.com/package/read...

Love this. I wonder how different we would feel about our timelines and follows if we thought about the velocity as a function of “time to read” rather than number/% of posts? Like, how much time would it take for me to consume all these posts and their links, and who is contributing to that?

it is such a cool vibe, kinda spooky and narnia-like. i will share some photos in the future!

I feel like you just described the entire protocol with that one sentence.

Half the fun of this game is figuring out how to play

Welcome to Portland! Can I buy you a coffee and chat about comind while you are here?

I’d be curious to hear what you find when trying other local models. I have heard that Cognito does a decent job at local tool calling huggingface.co/lmstudio-com...
comment in response to post
Nope. I took screenshots of the photos and shared those with o3, not the image files with exif and other metadata.

I love this, thanks for sharing. Want to help me make a list of useful and/or interesting prompts for people to try? I think people would enjoy the prompts you used here.

Yes! I have also been wanting a tool that can read threaded conversations and help make sense of them. It should be pretty straightforward with the docs.bsky.app/docs/api/app... API. I'll add it to the list ⚡️

Take a look at my bsky MCP server built in typescript. It wraps many useful bluesky API calls and is fun and weird to play with in Claude, Goose, and other MCP clients. github.com/brianellin/b...

i have tried this using o3 with a few of my own photos (screenshots, not direct uploads) and it has identified every single with incredible precision. scary.
comment in response to post
Neat! What do the AI integrations do? For example, if you're running the MCP server inside Claude, it can call out to OpenAI for other kinds of tasks and processing?

What would you want to see most in a new LinkedIn alternative?

interesting! it sounds like starter packs are more of a power-user feature than i would have guessed, and are perhaps not as widely used by new users as the name suggests. "left standing" edges is a tricky metric, as those who have a bad experience would likely leave/churn instead of manually prune
comment in response to post
i'm curious how end users of the "follow all" feature retain over time. twitter had something like it based on lists in onboarding, but it was net negative because people churned after ending up with noisy/confusing timeline filled with people they didn't have explicit intent to follow.

i hope you have a better experience! the one i got felt like tech from 2004, and i couldn't get the OCR tools working well.

Which CZUR model did you get? I bought the ET18 a few months ago and had to return it because it was so slow. Have been using the vFlat scan app on my phone and it works 100x better.

I greatly dislike these tools and their aesthetic btw, but am very curious about how they work and their limitations.
