I just recently posted this. Musk’s only remaining support group are app employed for DOGE, officially working for Trump. That raises questions about what happens now.

One question: DOGE was Musk. DOGE is still largely controlled by crazy Musk people. What does this mean for DOGE?

Also, I assume bad faith with everything Trump does. The most I’d ever give him credit for is doing the right thing for the wrong (and probably unethical) reasons.

Soliciting murder is a crime even if you don’t murder someone. I presume there was a paper trail of some sort, and it was a weighed as a factor in sentencing. I didn’t follow closely enough to say his sentence was appropriate, but it wasn’t just drug stuff.

They were relevant to his sentence.
Evidence was presented related to the solicitation and was a factor in the sentencing by the Judge. They just didn’t try him for solicitation. Charges specific to the solicitation were only dropped elsewhere after he was sentenced for the drug stuff.

I mean, drug stuff aside, he was also alleged to have solicited murder-for-hire on 6 different occasions. It’s also worth pointing out that one can see value in decriminalizing drugs but also see how someone’s activities in the criminal drug trade can be appalling and despicable.

I’m not 100% sure what you mean (that it’s treated like a joke and thus not treated seriously?) but my bigger concern is he’s gonna go “oh, I’m chicken am I?” and go fucking batshit just to prove he will.

The only way to stop scalpers is to meet demand, thus taking away the scarcity incentive that scalpers rely on. They won’t do that, so scalpers won’t be stopped.

Because I’m nearly 50, my only lingering fear (given how much I’ve lost in such a short time span) is that I’ve coincidentally and simultaneously developed some sort of cancer that is causing me to drop weight and I won’t detect it because I’m on Zepbound. 😂

I use the Zepbound pen so the needle issue is just a button push in the thigh that I initially thought wasn’t working because I literally couldn’t feel it. Food still tastes good — I just eat and enjoy it and then my stomach says “welp, that’s enough of that” and I stop eating.

My big issue has always been portion control and bored snacking. My concerns with Zepbound were 1) needles, and 2) what if I started and food was no longer appetizing? I love food!

(Also, if I’m being honest they do sound like they’re worried they’d win a lot less often if that one play was taken away from them which does sort put the controversy into perspective.)

Yes, there’s a despicable double standard happening and yes they’re ignoring Trump’s obvious *happening now* lies about his own poor health, but that doesn’t change the Biden facts. Feel sorry for him, if you want, but don’t defend what he and others did.

On a more serious note, a “food-truck but for haircuts” concept where they come to your house or place of business seems like it’d do a lot of business.

What makes you think that?

I’m not unwaveringly set on Buttigieg, but I’m definitely more up on him than any likely entrant. I do wish he’d try to get elected to a role that would serve as a better path, though. (I assume he worries a potential loss would strategically hamper any later effort to run at the top of the ticket.)
