Looked a little more closely here and only thing I can think is that since the newer "Link" capability comes by default in "modern" communications sites, and explicit actions need to happen for "Link to a Document" the newer stuff would be recommended?

Maybe, feels like a bug though since a multi valued taxonomy field returns whats expected.

Had to use a different endpoint. Invoke-PnPSPRestMethod -Url "/_api/web/GetClientSideComponentsByComponentType(componentTypesString='7',supportedHostTypeValue=3,%20includeManifestActivatedTime=true)" -Method GET It wants: personalization: "Allow" Like the good ole days with decompilers πŸ˜‰

I also tried looking for other Dashboard components to see if I could reverse engineer this by trying to find them from the /_api/web/GetClientSideWebParts endpoint, however, I don't see any ACE components in there, only WebPart and Library components.

Will do, just looking for how to work with it... I don't see the "personalization" attribute as valid in the manifest (trying to place following the "cardSize" property) and unsure what value to set it to ("allow" for example?).
comment in response to post
Yeah, that's what I was gonna do. Or for PnP Community Call since they were looking for ACE content.

So can 3rd party now set this in their ACE? To what value, "Allow"? Also, can 3rd party also now save individual user configurations/setting? How?

@vesajuvonen.bsky.social maybe more to come at Build?

This really could have been clearer - "In addition to the retirement of Bing Search, the Q&As and Locations answers are being removed entirely from Microsoft Search". As written it reads like it's being removed from Bing Search.

"Some Microsoft Search answers are no longer available, including Q&As and location answers. Recommended bookmarks are also retiredβ€”you can keep them by manually publishing or exporting them by April 30, 2025."

Also, am I reading to far into that that it sounds like Bookmarks may be next to go ?
comment in response to post
Yeah, I saw that one today, but the way that reads it makes it sound like just the Bing stuff is being removed. Locations, for example, had been availabke via SPO search bar.

I figure probably some retrofitting needed for webparts, like maybe an EndUserPropertyPanel. Will settle for end user configuration for 3P cards in VC for now πŸ˜‰

Congrats, @bob1german.com . Had the pleasure of meeting you at a SP conference in San Fran a few years back. Appreciate all you have given to the community and all the time/attention you have ever gave to me specifically. Pretty sure Widget Wrangler was my first github contribution πŸ˜‰.

Not possible to create an "Archived" folder in Site Pages and move pages (.aspx) there?

In return, we can chat on ideas about your post about making things disappear from search and copilot.

Whatever you wanna offer. Seeking inspiration and ideas to get creative juices flowing. I've been heads down (mostly) backend development last 2 years, so trying to switch gears into SPO / Search.
