This article describes the area they grew up in, where people still greeted each other with nazi slogans and their school material was racist.

This 👆 And that was long before Elon started advertising for them.

I still use FFP2. My reasoning: I can wear those continously for longer than N95 and I can replace them for a lot less money. Both mean that I wear masks a lot more when forced into proximity with people and I replace them more often which makes them more reliable. #longcovid

Good point! I use the "You are safe with me" when volunteering at the highschool library. The writing on mine is too small so I'd love a different pin.

German here: The "following orders" excuse thankfully didn't work for Germans after WW2. Let's hope it won't work for these POS in the current US regime either.

Maybe I missed it in the thread: What are the keywords for finding the study or can you link it? I have this discussion about selfdiagnosis so often 😔 and would love to send people to that study.

Unterschrieben.

Most Germans were incensed that Vance would meet with that party - and that Musk told Germans to vote for them. They are nazis, plain and simple.

I'm a mom to a 13 year old and he is a lot more mature and articulate (and informed) than Trump. So are most of his classmates. 😅

Even the Guardian used headlines inside the article that felt clickbaity - and weren't borne out by the actual copy that followed. Very weird.

One reason I like Wil Wheaton's new story podcast so much (besides the stories and the way they are read) was that he started with a female author's story and has alternated since. We are just not used to that from magazines, podcasts etc. Especially in scifi.🙄

Fein, da würde dann auch mein Long Covid drunterfallen.

There is another podcast by the same title, that might not help things either. Also: Maybe a landing page for each episode with links to different podcast apps? I sent the 1st ep. to 6 people but not knowing what app they were using for podcasts, I sent out Apple. Which apparently didn't work.

Usually, it goes to the "Pending" tab - or Outbound or whatever it's called. I think you have a few mins to abort sending. But haven't tested that yet. (But somehow managed to send my Xmas newsletter with short story to 1 person instead the list and realized 4 weeks later ... 🙈)

Yes, that's one reason why I said "No thanks". Some German states are already using his software and implementation on a federal level is being debated. Horrible.

Jay's article was so well written. And seeing the lovely illustrations, I ordered the book even though my kids are teenagers. I volunteer in a (German) highschool library and will add it to our Pride display. ❤️

The same people who uphold child marriages in their states. Or add wording to anti-pornography laws "unless you are married to the minor" (forgot which state that was, it was quite recent)

Yes, those lines = chef's kiss. Made me smile.

My kids are teenagers but based on the article I'll order Pride Puppy today. The illustrations look lovely.

But first they published it. Damage done. 😔

Hopefully you also think of every neurodivergent ADULT! Neurodivergence doesn't disappear when we are teenagers, we just learn to mask better. You know: To keep a job, raise a family, pay taxes ...
