What a joy-filled day at the Director’s Guild celebrating 25 years of the Asian American Committee! So grateful for the DGA’s commitment to diversity, equity & inclusion—it’s what makes moments like this possible. And yes… I wore that shirt. You can grab one in my shop if you feel like repping too!

This has been a rough few weeks for Filipinos. RIP to an icon of Filipino cinema, Ricky Davao. I’m deeply grateful to have met him. He was a brilliant actor and director, and someone who took the time share heartfelt stories with me about working with my late uncle, Lino Brocka.

I guess it’s only blasphemy if a drag queen does it.

Celebrate AAPI Month in Style! This Pinoy Storyteller shirt is for my fellow Filipino creatives—whether you’re behind the camera or lighting up the screen. Inspired by my wild ride filming Love & Lockdown in the Philippines, literally lying on the floor of a Jeepney to stay out of frame.

Two queer classics-now in my shop! I still remember designing the opening titles to for Rick & Steve the Happiest Gay Couple in All the World. Brocka.dashery.com

The best part of making your own T-shirts is wearing them! I created this in honor of the drag artists who’ve been instrumental in shaping who I am. I dabbled in drag in my teens but was not good & it was so expensive. My name was Fellatia. She became a character on Rick & Steve. brocka.dashery.com

I love funky T-shirts! Whenever I travel, it’s the one thing I hunt for. Not the airport or gas station shirts— something offbeat, unique, made by a local designer. A piece of a place to remember, to spark a conversation, to make someone smile.

2012. The first time I met Jiggly Caliente, I was such a fanboy. She brought so much joy into this world. Rest in peace, Bianca. 🩷🏳️‍⚧️🇵🇭

Looking through the kitchen window at a peach blossom on a rainy morning.

They somehow convinced you that being awake is bad.

Check out @ryancassata.bsky.social’s new anthem! I had the pleasure of being the video! pocp.co/i-feel-like-...

A duck discovered the water fountain at school.

Watching this stack of chips slowly disappear.

Wait it happened AGAIN?!

Easter brunch and script notes in West Hollywood with this charming fella!

I got a sneak peak of new music videos from both @ryancassata and @tomgoss tonight at their premiere party. They also performed for us! Tom’s “Bear Soup” is so much fun. Ryan really knocked it out of the park with his catchy song “I Feel Like Throwing Up.”

It’s a pink blossom and gray skies kind of day.

Ducklings on a gray spring day.

Let them eat cake!

I’m thinking back to this incredible screening of Lino Brocka’s Bona at the Academy Museum a few months ago. Watching Nora Aunor’s nuanced performance on a huge screen was exhilarating. It was easy to see how millions could look into her eyes and instantly see themselves. Rest in Peace Nora Aunor.

This really is the most fun classroom to teach in!

Maybe he thought it was the economy.

You remind me of London. 🩷

I love this little turtle pond. I can’t tell if the turtles do.

Last night I attended the first fundraiser for Jeffrey Schwarz’s new documentary “Beyond the Celluloid Closet!”

Honey wall. It was sweet.

This is absolutely disgusting.

Notice how your retirement accounts didn’t quite bounce back though? This is by design.

Ready for his close up! It’s a bust of Cecil B. DeMille on campus at Chapman.

Just sharing a bench with a turtle and soaking up some sun.

I’ve seen no evidence proving this wrong.

I mean, why didn’t your “god" just stop it?

He’s literally taking money out of their retirement accounts promising it’ll eventually trickle down back to them and they are lapping it up. #KeepWaitingForTheTrickle
