Less than 30% of Americans are Catholic - many have serious problems with the organization. I a disgusted with the wall to wall coverage of the Pope as if everybody gives a shit.

Somebody needs to tell them that only 30% of Canadians are Catholic - 34% are secular - I am getting sick of their wall to wall coverage of this one cult as if it was good news - or even of interest to the majority of Canadians.

Saw this outside the rally in Kingston along with Maple MAGA operatives swearing and shouting in the faces of senior citizens holding up signs and a Canadian flag.

I remember the early 80's when Trudeau, the elder, restored defence spending and came to visit the troops in Germany.
He was not a big military guy, but he understood that if we wanted a seat at the table we had to do our part.

By coincidence, a Conservative/Freedom Convoy/ type motley group made a brief demonstration at Mark Gerretsen's campaign office.
I stopped and talked to them. We disagreed on most things - but agreed that we were all willing to stand up and fight for Canada.

For years, my wife and I lived in military PMQs (Permanent Military Quarters) built during the post-war period.
The most basic ones - War Four's may dad called them - were single-story square houses with a full basement. A home with a yard - it was all we needed. Great for a couple and one kid.
