I follow Disney Parks fans and creators, comics artists, paleontologists, Broadway fans... I don't think Bluesky is all politics! Everyone's feed is what they make of it.

I mean, even if the pool was clean I wouldn't join the swimming club if it was run by a Nazi!

Right! I'd be willing to entertain a good-faith argument that both places are echo chambers in their own way, even if I personally disagree.

The "Bluesky is an echo chamber" discourse is a means of producing a permission structure to stay on X, which is indefensible. You post "This place is too like minded," and then a bunch of people tell you you're wrong. You think that proves your point so you stay on X, which you always wanted to do.

What specific "diversity of thought" would you like to see here? On what issues? Might be clarifying to list them!

Gonna go out on a limb and say it ain't the particulars over marginal tax rates.

This isn’t even true. The family of the speeding driver wouldn’t lose access to the car. They’d lose the ability to *speed* in that car, which would have a speed governor installed. Meanwhile, it’s the families whose loved ones are killed by egregiously reckless drivers who actually lose something.

Very few people are as wrong as often as Tom Nichols is.

Also, if we follow this logic and it's too cold to cycle 6 months out of the year, that means it's perfectly fine to cycle the other 6 months of the year.

As you watch the cops tear gas an entire neighborhood as punishment for protesting their extrajudicial arrests, consider that the people who said defund the police/abolish ICE were not, in fact, asking too much!

Unfortunately there's no minimum residency requirement. Seems like it would be good to revise the charter to require someone who wants to run for mayor to have lived here for at least, say, a year before being eligible.

We know who the candidates are who will stand with immigrants and all people against fascism. Andrew Cuomo isn't one of them.

Sadly, the only way they will stop is with a prison sentence.

Not the same guy. That was Joe Cianci, aka Impunity City on Xitter. Although he and Chris and Raul sometimes do this stuff together.

The only strategy I can see with RCV if you want to avoid Cuomo is voting for people polling the best right behind him but of course that becomes a self-fulfilling prophecy.

And keep spreading the word: Don't rank Cuomo.
