My 'job' is to write crime fiction. So if you see me while I'm traveling the world, I'm likely thinking of ways to add more bodies to my stories.

I'm trying to figure out the lack of resistance. Someone walks up and says they're ICE, and to come with them, isn't "no" a reasonable response? And if they persist, call for security. Ask for some proof before conceding. I have a hunch this happens, but why isn't it on the video?

Because the number of years that our species had no sense of the vastness of the cosmos is many times greater than the length of time we recognized galaxies for what they are.

Behold the power and reach of the Orange madman.

That explains the significant reduction in fentanyl trafficking. It's all part of the master plan. 4D chess, I'm tellin' ya.

It is a coincidence that I can't recall hearing any of your D-tier members say anything in public recently? 😂

I swear it does. It's like running a race when you have shorter legs. /s

Imagine typing with flippers and not having an edit button on here. Pure silliness

Damn those shadowy multinational firms and their unrelenting attempts to undermine the greatest president the forefathers ever conceived off Said no one, ever.

So, this time around, the defining novel will be "The Hops of Wrath"?

Perhaps, AOC should move to Canada.

Thirteen seems like a lot, but again, only six teams in the league. And it loses some luster when 80% of the fanbase wasn't alive the last time it happened 😂

Please allow me to introduce you to the Toronto Maple Leafs, who last won the Stanley Cup in 1967...when there were only six teams in the NHL. 🏒 😆

Are they fixed yet?

We do. And that's because the idea that Canadian authorities are ignoring the info makes no sense. On the other hand, saying untrue things that MAGA believers swallow without question serves their purpose Just as you suggest Dems cry lie automatically, so do Repubs claim truth

Hassett is a second tier admin. He probably wasn't ever in the sit room. But, again, his claim is that Canadian authorities know about it and are ignoring. Does that seem likely, given the articles you cited? Ergo, he's lying. It's pretty obvious when you look at it objectively

And, just to make sure you understand my point, here's the pull quote: "I can tell you that in the situation room I've seen photographs of fentanyl labs in Canada that the law enforcement folks were leaving alone." - Hassett That's a lie.
comment in response to post
I'm arguing that Hassett saying that Canadian authorities are deliberately ignoring the problem is a lie. The articles you cite talk about authorities not ignoring the problem. Hence Hassett IS lying. In other words, the Dems were correct
comment in response to post
The claim was that Canadian authorities AREN'T taking fentanyl seriously. Not just that, but they are INTENTIONALLY ignoring fentanyl labs. Do any of your 'plenty of articles' contain evidence that Canadian police are ignoring fentanyl labs? Even one? Post a link to it.

The problem is your 'simple search' didn't find anything to support Hassatt's lies. In fact, it found the opposite. So, rather than assume that the Dem's first reaction is to scream 'lies', it might be better to consider that, just possibly, they have information that you don't.

If the authorities found a 'super lab', I'm not sure where the idea that the authorities have a 'nothing to see here' mentality comes from. And the amount matters. 110 pounds is considered a 'super' lab, yet it's a tiny %age of the total. In fact 8x that amount went from the US to Canada last year.
comment in response to post
There are a couple of problems with the 'super lab' story. First, they seized about 120 lbs of fentanyl. 20,000 lbs came through Mexico in 2024. Second, if the authorities were leaving the labs alone, they wouldn't have found the fentanyl. However it's spun, Hassett's story is a lie.

There are no problems. Only opportunities. 😂😂😂 To be fair, I think I do have a solution. Just need to spend a couple of weeks in rewrite to be certain

I can empathize with their concerns. No one wants to have their own safety threatened, not to mention their family's. However, the solution would be to resign. Go home. Take care of their family. And leave the work of governing to people who have the fortitude to do the job.

Naw. They arrange for it to land on airports, so it can just be swept up. Sure, it delays flights, but you gotta break things in the name of progress.

It's not like hundreds of thousand of people will fire themselves. We gave them the chance, and they didn't come through. Now we have no time to look at 10,000 files that contain the word 'gay'. What do you expect us to do? Not delete all of them? There's a backup. Probably. 🙄🤡

Can I comment on the idea that Mexican cartels are basing massive fentanyl production in Canada, and then only smuggling 43 pounds a year (and .03 pounds in Jan/25) into the US feels like a colossal waste of their obviously impressive resources?
