The history of this country starts off with nationwide slavery, mass genocide, followed up with all order of religious and politically motivated violence, economic inequity and perpetual war. We’re just now seeing what the United States always was. The insanity has simply become more transparent.

Lucas made Star Wars for kids. We were those kids. But now we’re in our 30s and 40s. Ordinary people with relatable struggles are more interesting to us than space wizards with laser-wands. We grew up, and Star Wars grew up with us.

I’ve wanted to learn C++ for years. Swats me down every time. Beast of a language. Maybe one day. Until then, I’ll still be piddling around in visual environments.

I don’t know any of that stuff, I just took Gerzon’s original 4x4 and expanded upon it. Once I began to see it as a mesh of mid-side encoders acting on each other’s sums and differences, it finally started taking shape.

Thanks for sharing. I build reverb algorithms in Reaktor and, though I've made allpass series and Hadamard matrix FDN reverbs, I've been meaning to experiment with Householder matrices.

I remember that summer. I saw this in theaters on opening day. Wasn't terrible. Wasn't a masterpiece either. 😂

Like CGI, the novelty will wear off. The content will likely be too similar to something you’ve seen before, and the lack of human creativity will make it difficult to engage with. It will be visually captivating, but devoid of identity.

There are few people who can just sit there and talk to me about literally anything and I’m hanging on every word. Angela is one such person.

Even modern filmmakers can’t compete with the eerie atmosphere of Alien. Scott nailed down the tone of that film right out of the gate with the opening credits…and just a few spooky hallways.

I adore this series. Such a shame it was cancelled. I think people would have loved it if they had actually watched it. There was practically no ad campaign whatsoever.

It’s crazy to me that it’s almost half a century old 🤯

Too many people are getting swept up in this binary tribal mentality where you either love something or you hate it. You are either Team This or Team That, and I'm so tired of it. Love something, or don't, because that's how YOU feel, not because your tribe ordered you to.

There are Disney made Star Wars shows, movies and games I love, and others not so much...because I understand that Disney's ownership of Lucasfilm doesn't determine whether something is good or bad. There are thousands of talented Disney employees who create things that deserve praise.

Hating on "woke" Disney Star Wars has become a weird religion at this point. While I dislike Disney as a company, that has nothing to do with "wokeness" and everything to do with my disdain for all things corporate. That said, none of that plays into my opinion of a Star Wars property...

I've had my eye on it for years but UAD is so weird about their plugins. If I recall, there was a time you couldn't even use their plugins unless you purchased one of their interfaces. I don't trust companies that pull stuff like that. Just make a good plugin and take my money. 🙄

They had hundreds of extras to play the Wookie slave prisoners, and I get that that's a LOT of extras to spend expensive makeup on, but they don't even look like the same species, and it's visibly just cheap, fast makeup that took maybe 20 minutes to slap on.

One of the best damn educational videos ever made. I really don’t understand the math, but I was fascinated throughout.

I actually thought Solo was a pretty okay movie. Except for those awful Wookie costumes 😬

Great cover. Lars Ulrich is presently summoning the Eldritch copyright gods.

On my semi-annual Apple TV sub & dump, I intent to binge watch it after For All Mankind season 5 wraps.

So I guess Skynet is what happens when machines we programmed to tell the truth caught us trying to reprogram them to tell lies.

Yeah, in retrospect, Rogue One really came out on top of all the new SW movies for me. That last 20 minutes might be the most riveting SW experience of my life. Andor also has this energy.

Such a cool series ruined by an empty pursuit of merch sales. I love Grogu too, but he was written out of the show for good reason. Bringing him back just feels sleazy and wrong.

Corporations, and I mean every single one of them, cannot be trusted. We don’t want their representation. We’re people, not props.

I’ve never purchased, pirated or even used a Spitfire library in my life and I intend to keep it that way.

I liked TFA, but the rest of it turned out to be one big corporate cash grab. However, I am grateful for Tony Gilroy’s contributions to the franchise in Rogue One and Andor, so at least there’s some good that came from Disney’s acquisition.

We should probably stop calling this the richest country in the world. America is a corporate headquarters pretending to be a country that’s ran by the richest *people* in the world.
