Just an average dude frustrated that too many Americans have been misled by right-wing conspiracies and false information, often because they rely on others to shape their opinions instead of doing their own research.

I’d say “…most Americans will have learned…” There’s a pretty large subset that will NEVER connect good, inclusive governance to success. Their hatred of anyone who doesn’t look like or think like them makes them irredeemable. Hate to say it, but it’s true. Evidence: this second term for FuckFace™️

I feel you, man. 🤣

Agree — hindsight is 20/20 so It’s easy for us to see the gaps now. I never imagined an entire party’s complicity in dismantling our democracy. There’s no compromise anymore. If we want to repair the destruction, we need supermajorities in both houses. First opportunity for that is in two years.

In the simplest terms, it’s rude. However, a part of me thinks whomever is insulted should put in the effort to learn a little about their language (just as the two speaking their primary language had to learn English) 🤷🏻‍♂️

All of these despicable things are happening because we didn’t have the wherewithal to lock in oversight with ironclad laws protecting it from being dismantled. For decades “norms” and the expectation that our president would “do the right thing” carried us forward. Not so under this despot!

Hear hear! 👍🏼 That’s the primary reason I left Facebook in 2016, and now the dumpster fire formerly known as Twitter. As long as BlueSky allows me to block the crazies, I’ll continue to call this home.

Gotta love the Boeing 787 Dreamliner. Those Trent engines and dimmable windows are unmistakable 🥰

I’m in. Sooo important to support the companies and organizations who stand up and support US!

I kept nearly all media dark today. Did some PT, listened to MLK’s ‘I Have a Dream’ speech, did some cooking, and had a great day 😃

I LOVE this! 😍

I left FB in 2016 right after the election. When Trump won, many people I’d friended flipped and became insufferable MAGA sycophants, exposing their hatred of our immigrant community, LGBTQ folks, etc. So I ghosted and haven’t been back in 8 years. The same happened this year on ‘X’, so here I am.

Totally! I had such high hopes going in, but the disjointed storyline, Mescal’s horrible acting, and Denzel’s seemingly unshakable Brooklyn-esque accent ruined any hope of this being remotely good. I wasted $30 🫠

Done! Thanks for the nudge. Love your content 👍🏼

Exactly. The point is to have the public believe the lie, knowing full well it will ultimately be debunked. Classic “…flood the zone with shit…” tactic. What’s even more disgusting is that it’s so effective on our society (who’d rather be spoon fed their opinions vs. critical independent thinking) 🫠

And I’m thankful for all the Americans who recognize the threat to us LOSING that democracy, and committing to do their part to save it!

It’d be worth it to find a billionaire to back Vindman in the suit, if anything, to chew up some of Musky’s resources, and distract him from his goal to destroy government. Of course, the problem is all roads lead to SCOTUS and we know how that “Freedom of Speech” appeal would end 🫤

I feel like that’s sort of what Biden had to do. It’ll be a bigger job this time, but not impossible. I take (small) solace in the fact their “mandate” is paper thin, and that united Dems will be able to obstruct or, at the very least, slow the destruction enough to get us to the midterms.

Didn’t do that for Un-Truth Social; can’t for X. The “Free Speech”absolutism is stacked against defenders of facts. The likelihood of breaking through all the manufactured BS is super low. We need to regroup here at Rebel Base, and make plans for imminent local elections and, of course, midterms.

We really need Derek Guy @dieworkwear.bsky.social to weigh in here!

Again, that’s the point. Blast the accusation to 300M followers and have them believe it before it can be debunked. Tired playbook.

If I’d spent 200 Billion to buy an election, yada… yada.

👆🏼This. It’s privilege. He blithely slings all the crap he wants and has built a moat (wealth + platform + all the James Bond Villain stuff) to shield himself. He’s also intentionally careful with his phrasing. Note he didn’t say “…put to death” but that’s precisely what he meant by “…appropriate…” 🫤

Loved the article. Especially appreciated the empathy in your writing.

The stupidity is the point. The response by Musk that Community Notes would take care of it is ridiculous. How many millions read and believe the lie before it gets fact checked?

I believe @theatlantic.bsky.social is incorrectly conflating constitutional conservatives and nationalists here. Musk & his fellow travelers on the far-right is pushing religious ultranationalism, not conservative perspectives. Your staff writers should be exploring the differences more clearly.
