Some of those look like Wiha handles, and yes those are expensive tools (worth it)

I have an Instant pot that can do it, and a vacuum sealer. I’ve had decent results, but it takes a long time, and I found that it wanted more herbs and spices than I would’ve normally used with stovetop cooking

Literally just filled up at the gas station across the street from there a couple of days ago. I always get a chuckle about how close it is

Yeah…I had years of homophobic bullying, from kindergarten straight through high school. The f-slur is the one that still brings up that trauma for me. It’s even mildly upsetting seeing all of the cigarette emojis that people are using these days

The correct base. However, I’ve found some really weird alchemy with vodka-based. It has to be Finlandia and garlic-stuffed olives - the result is that it tastes like bacon when you get down to the bottom

You’re probably not going to like this answer, but my cutest shorts came from a shop in Puerto Vallarta. Other cute shorts came from a local shop here in SF, and are their own brand

I heard that they specifically chose not to organize a DC protest because they didn’t want it to be misconstrued as protesting the military service members in the parade

I’d look at it the other way. What if the person who started Stonewall did it that day to fuck up his birthday month. We keep being proud, and he suffers

Something that may not be conveyed very well by reporting is that it’s not widespread at all. I just spent the weekend in LA, and didn’t see anything. This is all contained to a few blocks downtown. That said, get these federal thugs out of my state pronto

Meanwhile, plenty of gays can recite monologues from 10 year old reality shows, but wouldn’t know where to start with Moira’s wine commercial

So much more boring. Maybe more successful in my career earlier on, because bullying in school had a number of knock-on effects. But queer friendships are the best. My straight colleagues have much less active social lives. They stay in watching TV with their spouses and rarely hang out with friends

Not a huge price difference between that and the BMW 4-series I bought with 55k miles on it. I think there were some X1 and X2 models in that range. They’re a pleasure to drive, but it also means premium gas. On the other hand, oil changes are only once every 10k miles

Not the crosstrek specifically, but my uncle had an outback, and there was a leak where the door kept filling up with rain water. After multiple trips to the dealer, they could never figure it out and never managed to fix it, so they traded it in for a VW instead

I have not played with this kind of toy, but I do have some relevant advice. If it’s difficult to get in all the way, it’s also probably going to be difficult to get out. That knot is going to have to pass both ways. So don’t get too ambitious when starting out

A friend of mine used to work there, and he said he was the only employee not giving out handies in the dressing rooms. I ran into another friend who was working there. He helped me try on something in the dressing room and later said he almost tried to blow me in there

It’s rare here to talk to the bus driver at all. Most people get on and off the bus via the back door and pay via contactless reader there. Some of our busses are even segmented and have multiple back doors. Some stops at rush hour, you might have 20 people getting on/off in a few seconds

Yeah…made it to 8 years with my ex. It’s not easy at all. Here’s hoping you heal quickly from this experience, and that better days are in your near future

It’s so bad that Tesla dealerships won’t even take Teslas as trade-ins anymore. Anyhow, I was forced into driving a Model 3 on a vacation, because that’s all that the car rental place had, and it was an absolute garbage driving experience, bordering on dangerous

What? San Francisco has a bigger Pride, and entry is free (they accept donations, but fully optional)
