I agree, but to be fair, maybe there's less quality content to be found? The average internet user used to produce a lot more quality content. We used to edit wikipedia, and blog. We don't even make good image macro memes any more. Now we spend all our time calling each other names on twitter.

A bottled water company has financial problems? LOL, their product literally falls out of the sky. Their marginal costs are what? Plastic bottles? That's stupid. Bottled water is stupid, but bottled water companies going under is even dumber. My cat could keep a bottled water company solvent.

Are you saying that scientific authority shares an epistime, or decision making processes with democracy? The HHS secretary is insane, but keep some perspective. Democratic and scientific processes may coexist, but they are not the same thing.
