A hitching post outside an Aldi?? If you're in central Ohio, heck yeah!

How it started three years ago and how it's going now. Thanks @adamreizner.bsky.social for making it happen!

Powerful

Let's put it this way: if Iran bombed the US with conventional weapons delivered by their military, would the US consider that an act of war? How could it not?? King Trump has started a war.

Warning to Norway: Oslo may be bombed until the Nobel Peace Prize is delivered . #Trump

Today's Republican party is not the Republican party of your father's day.

Some people in the winter sit in their cars with the engine running while gassing up. I do that in the summer. Oy... 🥵

For Sale: 28mm French Cuirassier Regiment with red facing. There are 12 full painted and based Perry Miniatures. I haven’t attached a flag to the standard bearer, as the buyer might want a specific regiment. Sale price £110 with free UK postage.

This is some bleak shit. Historians literally outsourcing the creative and research process to a thieving algorithm ripping off the IP of their own fellow-historians. Says everything that they’re doing it from a Google office. Hacks. They should be ashamed. www.nytimes.com/2025/06/16/m...

So proud of my little town of Kent, Ohio. The scene of unimaginable government violence in 1970 when National Guard troops fired on students protesting the war in Vietnam killing four. Today far more people turned out for No Kings than I ever expected! Well done, Kent!!

I just posted some praise for Sly and the Family Stone. In one of the oddest coincidences I've ever seen, my favorite band, Yes, owes a debt of gratitude to SFS. Sly was supposed to play a gig in 1968 in London. They didn't show up. With a full hall and no band the panicked venue manager called up

Been going down a Sly and the Family Stone rabbit hole since I learned yesterday that Sly Stone has passed away. The band was both multiracial and had male and female musicians (not just background singers) - a rare thing indeed in the late 60s. music.youtube.com/watch?v=TU02...
