Yeah, this is the way I look at it. Don't make a liar of your friend. I was saying to my therapist that, often, thinking your friends don't like you or think badly of you is a really mean way to think about your friends. So I try not to do that.

I think my early years in toxic activist spaces kinda drilled into me that it is functionally impossible to be a Good Person and so part of me has just fully internalised that, no matter what, if someone calls me a good person, they're exaggerating, because so much about me makes me "bad"
