Another great piece, Will. There used to be a sense of common cause among politicians even if on opposite sides. The idea that there was a bridge not to be crossed. Physical violence against a fellow congressperson or senator was on that list (most of the time). Those days are long gone.

Violence, or the implied threat is part of Trump's façade of machismo, and most of the right takes their cues from him on these things nowadays.

The reasons for opposing US involvement in the war with Iran has nothing to do with Ted Cruz's knowledge about the demographics of the country. Tucker asked dumb gotcha questions which lacked substance.
