I know that many don't want to hear this but we've been moving towards this current state of affairs over the past 65 years. And it's really been a bipartisan project. The expansion of the carceral state is the fuel for fascism. Folks have been trying to make this case for a long time.

FFS @nytimes.com "Mr. Abrego Garcia, a metal worker who has lived illegally in the United States without criminal charges for years..." He did not live here "illegally!" He had withholding of removal, a form of immigration relief that was granted to him after going through a court process!

Seriously. Fuck this "reporting" by @abc7.bsky.social. He wasn't "mistakenly" sent to El Salvador. He was illegally trafficked, with 200+ others. He wasn't DEPORTED. He was TRAFFICKED.
