It's just so wild to me. Even if kids have to be somewhere else during the day (like a daycare, for instance), that still leaves the evenings and the weekends to make friends with/play with kids in the neighborhood. But it's like every house is an island unto itself, and the kids can't leave.

There are so many kids in my neighborhood, and it never ceases to amaze me that these kids never leave their yards except to go to school.
Like, they could have friends that live on their street! They could play at each other's houses! But no.
