I think it is only a few that have financial stake in bluesky frameworks.
comment in response to post
I don't think centrist elites care about bluesky as much as you wish they would.

Honestly what was the point of this overgeneralization? What are you looking to accomplish? You have convinced 0 liberals of anything other than you are not immune to stereotypes.
comment in response to post
I honestly couldn't tell you if you are right because I have not talked to more than hundreds or thousands of liberals in my lifetime. My personal experience is that you probably very wrong though
comment in response to post
Indeed it is an atrocity. If everyone communicated exactly the same way the world would be a better place.

Not sure if you want a real answer but most people use language in real life that communicates their intended message. If someone in my community asked if I was a lefty then I would say yes. Because in real life that is how people communicate. To them I am a lefty.

Well now you are telling me I believe in things that are obviously not true.

I just don't think helping fascists or hurting liberals is going to help the far left in this country. If fascists win the far left are in hiding at best. If the fascists lose the country will believe that the far left at best is a loose ally of fascism. It is lose/lose and I want to go left
comment in response to post
Because I believe in probably 90% of the things you do.
comment in response to post
Because really what's the difference between a fascist and those that help them and hurt their opponents. As far as outcomes are concerned I don't see any.
comment in response to post
All of that doesn't matter much when fascism fully takes hold. If we lose it all what would be the difference between MAGA and the far left that oppose Dems fighting fascism. I would argue most of the country including a lot of MAGAs would say they are pretty much on the same side.
comment in response to post
I am trying to explain a world view of someone that wants to fight fascism and maybe has little patience for those that try to stop them.
comment in response to post
So who would a struggling family support that wants to oppose fascism? Struggling families often don't have the same luxury as a single person with no kids to support a cause that has a less than 1% chance of success. Not saying the country couldn't ever get there but fight with the army you have.
comment in response to post
Additionally at the end of the day what is the difference between someone that thinks there should be no property vs someone that thinks Elon and Trump should own everything. Both are equally untenable although the MAGA worldview is currently extremely more likely.
comment in response to post
I think it's the mentality that we have pretty much one shot to pull out of this and if you are opposed to that one shot then maybe your priorities are not the best.

You are the one claiming he thinks confederate flags are fine and that he hates Mexicans which is obviously not true. Is the top floor where the ableist assholes hang out?
comment in response to post
I don't think Kevin said to wave the confederate flags . I'd be disappointed if he did.

Middle America thinks American soldiers are the good guys. They have been fed non stop media for their whole lives which have told them as much. Our streets are named after the local highschool kids that have died in the military. But maybe you are right. They are famed for their nuance.
comment in response to post
Dude I'm with ya. Who needs the rest of the country. Lets do this 1 city vs fasc. If Americans are confused and don't know that the people holding foreign countries flags are the good guys then that's their problem.
comment in response to post
For you to show me where Kevin said confederate flags are fine.
comment in response to post
Either irrational or extremely intellectually dishonest.
comment in response to post
Who is scolding? Certainly isn't me or Kevin. Your definition of American symbols is not shared widely. I would be shocked if a single percentage point of Americans believes that. But if you think taking the American symbols back is a bad idea then what should we do?
comment in response to post
Been to several
comment in response to post
No one is claiming that as far as I can tell.
comment in response to post
No. Public opinion like it or not does work in the world. Even if you don't agree with it.
comment in response to post
Yep lived in the Midwest my whole life (minus some time spent overseas)
comment in response to post
You are comparing the country of Mexico's flag to a flag of an insurrectionist government organized primarily to own black people. Do you not see how those flags are different?
comment in response to post
You are very wrong. Couldn't be more so. There are bad people sure but there is also a shitload of conservatives that are taking their trump signs down over kilmar and the threat of fascism. That changes when the optics are US troops vs a foreign country
