I am no longer a comedian because that would be illegal.
Scifi Writer (Pen name Zebulon Boone; co-w CJ Ripley). Doing market research on what messaging sells and doesn't sell under a dystopian regime. This is of personal interest to me.

Don't worry, I hear the dems' strongly worded letter is already in the second draft.

So you're telling me you did everything dem leadership said would be effective, and it wasn't effective? It kinda sounds like they don't know what's effective- or thet effectiveness isn't their goal.
End of the day, they lost and declined to challenge an obviously rigged election. They failed.

Just before the previous clip, the skater kid was practically taunting the Border Patrol agents by dancing around their munitions shots.

If the protestors thenselves don't cause violence, the regime will invent it to justify their crackdown. They may just instigate themselves.
Calls for nonviolence are simply giving them the narrative they were going to invent anyway and gives them their sense of control and you damn well know it.

I'm glad you recognize they didn't do anything to prevent this.
If this wasn't a pattern, I could give them a pass. But they're talking about forgiving Musk, FFS. We're assigning false virtues to them that they're not even pretending to adopt. Their priorities are clear: oligarch funding.

And the people who should be holding them to account (the democratic party) are too busy taking the high road to prevent any upset to the status quo. Can't piss off the billionaire donors.

Right? He'll walk free eventually and dems will taken their victory lap like they actually solved anything.

Yeah but that's between you and the IRS.

Not if the government tells ADP to stop. Hell you can tell ADP to stop yourself. That's what all that sign on paperwork is. You instruct them how much to hold back. They're just following your orders.

Prosecute for theft of the American public. Seize every single account and lock him up until we can sort out how much he's responsible for losing.
Take back whatever he stole and keep the rest as his legal punishment. No taxes for anyone until the Musk fund is depleted. Make an example.

Even the implication that Musk could be useful instead of prosecuted and locked up has me giving up for good on the democratic party.
They are so far out of step with where we need to be that I don't think there's a plausible path to recovery. We need to invest our energy and resources elsewhere.

Honestly I hope he does. Trump will self-implode eventually- in the meantime, I'm more worried about Musk's ambition than Trump's competence.

Because he repeated his message until people believed it.

He is not there to bridge a gap to right voters- he's there specifically to piss off liberals for ratings.

Does Scott Jennings smell as slimey as he looks?

If that's a problem for them, they're pieces of shit and in the previously mentioned category of people we should stop giving a fuck about winning over because we never will.

We're just going to fundamentally disagree on persuasion styles in media. We both think the other is overestimating the public. Lol.
Keep it simple, keep it basic, repeat at least 3 times.

That her messaging was somehow ineffective?
What we should be learning from the GOP is that the public will believe anything if you repeat it enough. He gave her at least 3 opportunities to repeat exactly what she meant. She took them. That's winnjng the narrative.

"Fox viewers vote; they aren't irrelevant"
I am still arguing that for all intents and purposes, they are. So are all other conservatives that aren't smart enough to bail already.
Looping back to my point.. The people watching already hate Scott. Adding fuel to that is only good for ratings.

Scott Jennings isn't there to reach out to conservative voters; he's there to piss you the fuck off and give you someone to direct your anger at.
comment in response to

Come on, man... Trumpers don't even assign moral blame to their people for the things they know they did. Scott Jennings isn't running for office and even if Fox viewers gave a fuck, they'd never see it anyway- we're in isolated social media circles by now.

All this.
With an emphasis on, "there's nothing you can say to make them happy, so stop trying."
We will NEVER get conservative votes. Why do we spend so much effort, then, to reach them? Fuck em. Leave em behind.

The average voter is going to take away "but she's right, why shouldn't every person in the world deserve healthcare?"
She has defined the narrative and won't be moved off her point. Anyone watching this in good faith will walk away agreeing.
Fox viewers are blind and irrelevant: not good faith.

Lol. He's blocked me because I have nothing to argue with him and he really didn't like that 😂 I guess its easier for him to believe that everyone who doesn't agree with him hates Biden or something.

Anyone with a lick of sense can see the democratic party is fascism-lite. If they don't see that, they're also fascism-lite.

Honestly... this IS the dem party.
The fact that we're not on board means WE are not dems any longer. They set the agenda and ignore anyone not on board.
If this is their agenda, I'm out. Musk is competing for #1 against the wall, and any party who glosses over it isn't serving our interests.
