Well, based on the history of our past crimes... Like the Trail of Tears, Japanese internment camps, abuse of Chinese laborers and much more, it will be briefly mentioned and then awkwardly moving on without going into any real detail.

If anything like that happens while driving I would pull over park somewhere and wait for it to pass, call for a ride if I need to and come back for the car later.

I not only remember the protest, I distinctly remember how anyone who did protest was labeled as Anti-American and just hating the country. I remember France being critical of us leading to the stupid as heck Freedom Fries phenomenon.
