Why this hasn't happened already I have no idea. But good on them.

But what is the message? If it is the Atlantic is bankrupt or, as most of the press takeaways I have seen, "make sure to check who is in your group chat before talking shit," it is another in the series of platforms and leaders metronomic failure to seize a moment.

How did you get so fucking stupid? Well, slowly at first, then all at once.

Dear God. Let that man read one book and he thinks he is God's gift to humanity. Then he reads a second and becomes Mussolini.

LOL! The party of "the only moral abortion is my abortion." goes wide.

It's not just fdr. One of the things the epa did not long after it was formed was document the nation's pollution via photography. That can seem frivolous, but generations of Americans have no idea why the EPA was necessary. This broke a million views when we published it in 2017

I have a better idea. In honor of Mr. Trump's clear victory at the polling places in 2016, 2020 AND 2024, which he was duly slighted and overlooked as part of a dark and sinister conspiracy to deny him his rightful election as President, we should declare election day as a paid national holiday.

It needs to be a commitment for a longer period of time. One day won't drive change, it will send a signal people are paying attention, tho, which is a start.

And frankly, the likelihood of using/abusing martial law will only grow with his cementing his power. These dumbasses are gonna cower and let the motherfucker grow in strength and then flip out when he finally transgresses one step too far. They should be actively doing things or resign.

This was the case in 2016 too... the shift was palpable even then. Biden offered false hope .... Trump 2016 was the new way. Everyone else is just playing catch up at this point. Sickening as it is.

Probably but so what. OANN gets a real scoop once. I think they skip more than once. There are plenty of ppl to talk to in Washington and the rest of the country anyway. They can cliff notes Trump's bs and not miss anything.

He breathes air, is that not bad enough already?

If that is the case, would they not just do what they want on things we agree with too? I don't think they have as much power as they want everyone to believe. But if it is true as you say, then there is no reason for us to engage with them at all. They will do as they please.

It is fine to work with someone but how we communicate that can show no eagerness or desire or it will be leveraged against the American people in corporate money grabs. For starters, the illegal shit needs to end before ANY discussions take place. If they wanna fuck us, they do it alone. No support

Maybe. But some things come at too high a price. These people are negotiators of the worst order. Like used car salesman with 20 gold-embroidered books of pinstriping they want you to choose from. "But what's in it for me?" is the first third fifth and seventh question.

They can also get on podcasts. Use their socials start newsletters get people educated on how they can individually throw a wrench in this shit day after day. They had how many town halls over Obamacare why not have town halls here on how to resist or how to survive this Musk-spawned hellscape?

This is the entire crux of how we got here I think. The campaign mouth said crisis and end if democracy. The campaign actions was biz as usual--DJs and Leon Panetta and concert rallies and mom and dad were poor but we worked hard Americana horseshit. The rhetoric maligned with the action.

Are you trying to kill them? Being near an actual woman is enough to trigger hives for most of them. Pure estrogen would almost certainly be lethal, at least to their ego.

He can put forth proposals and folks can evaluate. There is no value in proactively declaring a working relationship. Those things we like we support. Those things we don't we don't ... But above all, be transactional. "I would love to support your push for x, but I want this for CDC or NIH."

Make them fire you. And be loud. Give press conferences.

@ritchietorres.bsky.social is upset and resentful that voters are demanding they do something when they quite so clearly "have no leverage?" AFYKM? Sir, we are SO SO SO sorry to burden you with such a level of unreasonable effort. You must still be so exhausted after flying to MI to help us lose.

I suspect that will come naturally.
