2- I spend an ungodly amount of time reading other people’s tables. Indie games, Reddit posts, blogs. They all serve as a backlog of inspiration
3- I avoid second guessing. Creativity loves speed. Quality comes with editing.

1- Visualize > keyword > sentence. I close my eyes and think in images of things I’d be excited to find in a table. Then I try to put down a keyword or two for each idea. Only then I try to refine it into an entry. I find it is helpful if I don’t get stuck with translating thought…

In a way! Keyword manipulation.
So you start with “Tree”.
Roll a trait to change (“Condition”, in this case, which led me to “dead”).
Then you may increment it with more keywords (rolled “Skull”, then change “Size”).
That’s the gist. The final arrangement is my interpretation 😊
