Extreme heat is the most deadly weather event in the US. Images are critical pieces of any news story — they draw readers in and help to communicate the story itself. However, publications continue to publish photos that fail to convey the severity and danger of extreme heat.

There is one other which, rather than hobble renewables, seeks to give low-interest loans to new gas-fired power plants. Ugh. At the time the article was printed, however, Republican Gov. Abbott hadn't yet signed it. And renewables keep on proving business case as cheap & predictable power supply.
