Wish I had a pic of the inside - the meringue was pink and swirly.
Here’s some work in progresses!
First one is meringue mix with vinegar OfC. I loved the shell pattern.
Then with pink food colouring. And cooked! … 2/2

Oh yes I’ve had a driver “tell me off” here too- for riding on the right side of the lane because I was about to turn right 😵💫😵💫😵💫

And a shout out to a friend and parent who has done the most brilliant clear diagram of all the problems here. Really good to see it laid out so clearly.

Yes that’s exactly what a neighbour said today - that they feel a pressure to go which they wouldn’t if there was a yellow box there …

This is such a dreadful junction - I've almost been run over at least twice at this bit by cars illegally turning left.

Look how insanely wide the junction is there. Totally encourages fast driving, by the sounds of it in an inappropriate area.

We’ve got a green man crossing that drivers end up going through all the time. Often because they mistakenly turn left at a no left turn, and because they get stuck in the middle when the lights change. Vid from this AM.
Over the last week, local people have been propelled into action. All … /6

Councillors.
Here in Bounds Green, we want change to this junction, and we want it now. Before anything else happens. We’ve protested here a lot.
Children deserve to be safe as they walk to and from school.

anyone is talking about is the junction.
Our local councillors @emilyarkell.bsky.social and Mary Mason have been extremely engaged and with us on this.
Emily has arranged for @mikehakata.bsky.social and Seema Chandwani to visit soon. Many thanks to you all in advance for the visit … 7/8

Yesterday I saw people just squashed in this middle island. We had to call them forward because a man with a buggy couldn’t get onto it as the lights were changing.
I’m honestly surprised there aren’t crashes here every week. … 5/8

Bounds Green Road here is 30 MPH. This is where a child was hit last week. Yesterday, we saw a Land Rover absolutely thunder past at this spot yesterday.
This is a junction designed for motorists to move through fast, not humans crossing … 4/8

News came that a child was hit by a car when trying to cross this junction on their way to school.
Some friends of mine saw it and were in a terrible state, unable to unsee the event. Thank goodness we found out that the child survived. But an unbearable thing to happen … 3/8

is to close 10% of streets to traffic so that there’s a clear route through.
“Brilliant”. She said. “You can be Mayor and I’ll be your deputy!”

parked half-way down. I just thought, all these people want to cycle, just give them a clear route!
Also, I had a chat with the hairdresser about how her teenage son rides a Lime bike to school but she worries about all the traffic. I told her my plan, if I become Mayor, .. 2/3

Hit Hyde Park to be greeted by gorgeous fountains (just by Lancaster Gate), where there’s a lovely cafe - had pain au chocolate, coffee, and even, there was a water fountain for drinking water, and public toilets too. Everything you need.
Look at these 4 mega fountains though! … /8

On this cycle lane near Tot Ct Rd, I saw a women in her 20s glide by on a Forest bike, wearing a floaty flowery dress, a chunky green beaded necklace, and no helmet.
She was on some sort of day out and had grabbed the bike to journey.
This is what I’m talking about! … /7
