Liberals: when socialists say that the economy contributes to people going reactionary we are not making excuses for them, we are not saying they have not made bad choices, we are simply identifying a fixable problem. Please stop flipping out at ghosts every time we bring this up

Mostly just a consequence of the US being well positioned geographically and historically to benefit from the Industrial Revolution and WW2. Pressure from communist states to extend the social safety net also helped. Capitalism didn't have much to do with it.
