I've been acquired. Building things with APIs and GenAI. Because the latter is all the rage and I need someone to fund my rock-and-roll, stay-at-home lifestyle, and the former is mostly still fun, at times.

Folks, if you have a choice (and I realize sometimes you just don't), when evaluating a new job find out if they use Google or MS Teams. And for quality of life and minimal frustration if they use Teams start asking some serious questions about how much you'll need to work within those systems.

Lately my development work has been all LLM driven. I don't really write much code. I read it, and say "Hey, that's .. what the hell were you thinking?" or "Heck yeah, nice job digital buddy"... I don't mind it much. I haven't had to type a lot, which is good.

The NHL needs to seriously consider enforcing some level of audio standards on its broadcast partners. These ESPN/TNT/TBS games all have messed up audio. No team in the race anymore and I'm close to tuning out because of it. It just sounds wrong.

Is "Havoc" on Netflix supposed to be a parody of the hyper-violent Hong Kong crime movies from the 80s-90s? It seemed to start off more like an homage to that genre, but then pretty quickly veered into the downright silly.
