I saw that, just before my usually apolitical partner called and said he voted blue (Nedlands) đ and I had the next hour on mute, missed what Hastie said. Anyway, if BZ thinks the leadership is going to land in his lap he hasnât factored in the new Cott MP who seems like a force to be reckoned with.

âHe also voiced support for Elon Musk, Tommy Robinson and Alternative for Germany, the far-right anti-immigration party.â Yeah, complete mystery.

18 for me, and any sense of being homesick around this time of year is soon forgotten when reminded that the country is full of these types.

Same. The weekend was exhausting - so much driving, and I only had to take one daughter to classes as the other is injured. After they went to bed last night I had a one hour phone call to partner and then fell asleep with my contacts in!

Yep, weird priorities. American* friends back in the UK would say the Brits and Aussies in our friend group had "potty mouths" which made them sound like little kids snitching to mum that big sis said a naughty word.
*My Canadian friends were also quite judgy about it.

Will never understand their pearl-clutching about swearing yet they don't blink an eyelid about mass shootings in schools.

Itâs not media hype, itâs ordinary people being arseholes.
Some of the comments under her Instagram posts are like âyou need to put some make up onâ, âyou look terribleâ and âyou should do something about your eyebrowsâ.
Usually women about the same age as her.

You should tag her, I reckon sheâd love it!

You're right. Have been on the periphery of one of those careers and the people doing it only hang out with each other due to the antisocial hours and they all think they're doing something important!

Surely by the time you leave school/university and start in said profession, you just know, ie from being around other people having conversations and so on.

Same. Not only did I block them, I muted as many versions of their names as possible, with and without hashtags. Still they showed up.

I'd agree with that. The ones who know how much we beat ourselves up over things like working full time and not being around as much, ie at the school gate, so reassure us we're raising good kids. Ditto when they're going through it!

Rare occasion I turned on breakfast radio this week, 7West-owned station reported that a poll in The West had BZ as preferred Lib leader.
Me: âOf course it doesâ.

Can confirm. Or theyâre gifts. Perhaps she thinks if we can afford to buy pot plants, for ourselves or others, weâre paid too much. Anything above the breadline is too much.

Speaking as a WA public servant - fuck Gina.
Also, we bring in our own damn pot plants.

She lived in Sweden and was incredibly supportive when I went though my divorce. It wouldâve been her birthday this week and the messages coming up on my fb newsfeed fill me with sadness that I never âmetâ her.
An incredibly special group of (mainly) women.
They are absolutely my friends. 3/3

When the forum was closed we found each other on fb and have a private group there. We supported each other through every major event. Iâll never forget the support I received. At least two have passed away and while I never met them, then most recent one hit me as though I had. /2

I met a bunch of amazing women on a sub group of the old Lonely Planet forum 20 years ago. Some of them Iâve met in real life (one is in my city and my daughters know her), others Iâve met when visiting each otherâs cities but most Iâve never met in person. /1

And when they canât pay the fines - more indigenous people in prison. What happens to the kids then? Really well thought out, well done đ

Mutual trust, and that works for us. Meanwhile, the bullying she experiences is in person, in school. SM contact with her martial arts mates (different schools), cousins on the other side of our city and cousins on the other side of the world (Iâm British) is her lifeline. 2/2

Iâm well aware that if I banned my 13yo from SM altogether she would find a way to it somehow. For now, I trust her with what I allow her to have (Insta/Snapchat) and donât snoop but reserve the right to ask her to hand over the phone (that I pay for) if she ever give cause for concern. 1/2

Yep, they'll see it as a challenge and will end up bypassing not only the govt (good), but those of us parents who are actually responsible with what we do or don't allow our kids to have.

Yeah I donât see anywhere near enough people questioning that - how proof of age is going to be implemented and the fact that means ALL of us having to hand over our personal details.
Oh youâve put your birth year in as 1974 - you can enter then đ
As if thatâs going to happen!

I know a lot of Gen X (some of us still just about have primary school age kids and young teens) who watch the mainstream channels. I think the two main parties have no way to get to teens now. Teens are consuming content about the world that they have no control over. Thatâs what this is about.
