I personally would advise against eating a dog while it's still yapping, but it's your life

I would hesitate to say it's a present day thing. I think people have always wanted mental shortcuts and adopted a bit of doublethink to accommodate them

Even with everyone sending in fake reports, I worry that even a few healthcare providers will cave out of fear. Also, musk’s massive data pull will make sorting out real reports easier. This is really fucking scary.

The end goal of the Right is detransition or death for every trans person. There is no amount of compromise that will satisfy them.
We CANNOT accept the "compromise" of being "lesser" citizens to make centrists happy. As soon as we agree to be "lesser", they will move the goalpost again.

2. Why is it important? Not because a 300 person protest is going to change anything by itself.
It's important because it normalizes protest. It helps train people for how to do it. It builds community.
And sets the stage for the really big ones we will need when the moment demands it.

9. When a leader comes to power by demonizing a minority and one of their first acts is to erase all official recognition of that group, it should be a blaring alarm. This is not just political posturing—it is the groundwork for something far more dangerous, and trans people will resist it.
