Thanks Ben, did you also once write a blog about Portals? Or one stop shops? I’ve looked for it on your site but can’t find it.

Maybe it’s along the lines of you need a process to manage content before you build a content management system.

I know what you mean, the CMS thing stood out because the examples are always don’t automate bad processes, don’t put paper forms online etc. But I just inherited a team that are building a bespoke CMS.

On another topic you know that picture where 3 people are agreeing but they each have a speech bubble above their heads with a different shape in it. Where have I seen that? Is it in a Gov standard somewhere?

Thanks this is really helpful, do you have a go to example to illustrate this? I want to explain it in a way that shows users asked for this, but the real need is this. To separate it from people’s day to day work and make it less personal.

Responsibilities: 1) Create a Service roadmap detailing how we will deliver on the 3-year strategy 2) Support the 3 senior PM’s to create product roadmaps and value propositions 3) Help create a process for reviewing and prioritizing work 4) Help create a mechanism for continually assessing value

Highlight the need to move from 'modules' (technical/functional units) to 'user journeys' to improve the focus on user experience. Emphasise the importance of describing journeys in plain language that aligns with real user tasks and goals

I’m working on a way to articulate that with a real example to try to stop the next shit thing 😂
