Too many Democrats are too timid to speak out against war with Iran, falsely believing that staying on the sidelines absolves them of the consequences of such colossal decisions. Email your senators: act.indivisible.org/sign/no-iran... Email your representative: act.indivisible.org/sign/no-iran...

Just some creepy armed Mad Max guys trying to gain entry to Dodgers Stadium. ICE says it wasn’t them. DHS says they were Border Patrol. But honestly who the hell knows? They’ve given permission for any psycho to put on a ski mask, point a gun, grab people & throw them into an unmarked vehicle.

Brutal.

Finally, I continue to harp on this because it's important, we are going to win at the local level. That's where the main fight must be waged. Get to ground and fight like hell. Take care everyone. Back offline.

Popping in here quickly to say that the courts do not have first or final say. Ever. Trans people [of all ages] deserve every single thing that everyone else does. The illegitimate court is illegitimate.

Read this thread, with which I whole heartedly agree. Keep fighting back. Don’t quit.

Wild how the Fed chair saying that *entire regions of the United States* won’t be able to get a mortgage in the next decade barely registered as a news event

For those unconditionally cheering the attacks on Iran, remember that our early strikes in Afghanistan and Iraq were “successful”. But we ended up getting dragged into costly wars that created more terrorists than we killed. The American people haven’t forgotten that.

There are no distractions. It's all bad. Systematically stripping trans people of their rights, guys in balaclavas shoving any brown person with a tattoo into a ummarked vans, ending healthcare for millions. It's all in service of fascism and technofeudalism. It's all one thing. That's the point.

I wrote this four days ago. Today, they arrested the NYC Comptroller.

Just an inexcusable dereliction by Senate Democrats. ballsandstrikes.org/nominations/...

This is an absolutely disgraceful act of corruption by both major parties. It will lead to an incredibly foreseeable set of disasters: best case, unlimited corruption and scamming, worst case a global financial crisis and inevitable federal bailout. Horrifying that 18 Democrats voted for it.

Reporter: Five fellow mayoral candidates came here within 90 minutes of you being arrested and called for your release. What does that say about the tenor of the mayor's race? Lander: Was one of them Andrew Cuomo? Reporter: It was not. Lander: Imagine that!

For those who have asked why I am so deeply suspicious of the AltNPS account, here is a good explanation.

Who's planning ahead to primary this guy in 2028?

Having a bit of a hard time with the concept that if a guy in a police uniform who has a police vehicle shows up I should lock the doors and call 911, but if a guy in a ski mask with an hGH gut appears to be kidnapping my neighbor, I shouldn’t ask who he is if I don’t want federal charges.

If you rank Zohran 1st you’re voting to make every New York Times Opinion writer insane for several years.

A top staffer to Sen. Tina Smith emailed Sen. Mike Lee’s top staffers on Monday about “how much additional pain you’ve caused on an unspeakably horrific weekend” Full emails below

A win! A federal judge has ordered the government to restore hundreds of NIH grants slashed by the Trump administration, ruling the cuts were discriminatory against minorities and LGBTQ individuals. The judge said he’d have to be “blind” not to see the discrimination and declared the cuts illegal.

I dreamt I was in a throuple with @zohrankmamdani.bsky.social It was lovely. Oh, and if you live in NYC you should rank him #1 and DO NOT RANK CUOMO

NEW YORK CITY early voting % increase from 2021* Day 2 totals Manhattan: 115% 📈 Bronx: 32% 📈 Brooklyn: 140% 📈 Queens: 115% 📈 Staten Island: 21% 📈 *last election with city-wide competitive races

Good Lord.

Now that we’ve seen the full Senate text, we can say for certain: either the House or the Senate version would be the largest transfer of wealth from the poor to the rich in a single law in history. Each have the largest Medicaid and largest SNAP cuts ever. And each give huge tax cuts to the rich.

Trump is sending ICE to blue cities to enact the "largest mass deportation program in history" and Chicago is at the top of the list. I'm calling for every Democratic leader and candidate to stand against ICE, to call for its abolition, and to materially support immigrants. Inaction is complicity.

For Dems to even consider a comeback for Cuomo after his serial predation of women, is for Dems to also say that EVERYTHING they claim to believe about equality and women’s rights to be safe in the workplace was bullshit. Do they even get the level of hypocrisy?

I voted early for Zohran Mamdani in New York. Don’t rank Cuomo!

WE HAVE QUESTIONS… This is a kidnapping. No uniform, no badge, civilian car. Who are they? ICE? Sanctioned bounty hunters? Either way, they’re grabbing people without warrants. How often is this happening, and why aren’t more people talking about it? Congress?

Cuomo doesn’t just get to rehabilitate himself from sexual harassment because he’s rich and powerful. He gets to because he’s a man. It’s the same situation for everyday, ordinary men, while women from all walks of life are not just denied justice but punished for asking for it

You know, I don't have a problem with sexual harassment being something that permanently disqualifies someone from holding public office.

We’re announcing new legislation — the No Secret Police Act (SB 627) — to ban local/state/federal law enforcement, w/ some exceptions, from covering their faces when interacting w/ the public & require them to wear identifying info. The secret police behavior we’re seeing destroys trust & must end🧵

without fail whenever a leftwinger is close to winning or wins a democratic election centrist media talks about democracy being on the brink of collapse

I don't think I've ever felt more like burning it all down than I have while witnessing the elite project to turn Zohran Mamdani and Brad Lander into scary, incompetent monsters while turning an actual incompetent monster, Andrew Cuomo, into a merely complicated fellow who just made an oopsie.

The Atlantic piece on Zohran Mamdani and Andrew Cuomo is full of holes. Mamdani's proposals are picked apart and labeled unrealistic while Cuomo's supposed goals aren't even elaborated on. Cuomo is "an asshole, but he's our asshole"—the New Yorkers who he has sexually harassed might think otherwise

WATCH: Dems launched 2 projects to win back voters. But this must not mean echoing the right… “I do not want a Democratic Party…to stop doing everything that made us Democrats in the first place, because if that happens, you’ll lose me, and….I’ll take people w/me in the process.” – Basile Smikle 🧵

WHEW

As a 52-year-old, I grew up with domestic right wing terrorist organizations threatening violence daily, and blowing up buildings and killing people periodically, throughout my whole political life: it was the anti-abortion movement.

Ah, so it’s a family conspiracy to execute democratic electeds and flee the country.

The assassin is a Trump voting anti-abortionist. And here is Senator Mike Lee claiming he executed Democratic electeds because he was a Marxist. The right wing is unabashedly promoting disinformation and hate.

Given the fact that Republicans are actively pushing the insane lie that the deaths are on *Democrats’ hands* it really is important that political leaders and the press make this case clearly.

EPIC response.

AOC during Zohran for Mayor rally: "There are people out there who say, 'If you go out and make this endorsement, your political career will be over.' And to that I say: I don't care. We will never get to a better place if everyone is just worried about themselves. If it's over, so be it."

Just want to take a moment to shout out the international reporters helping us get the real story out. When an 80-year-old veteran with a walker is hauled off with his hands zip-tied behind his back, and the media spins it as a “threatening breach” of a police barricade

I know there are debates about the infamous 3.5% of a population needed to effect widespread societal change, but folks, this is close. Stay engaged. Organize where you live. Keep pushing back.

Greenberg: We're looking to the leaders who will fight for us, because even today there are folks among the Democratic Party who think we should roll over and play dead. Anyone seeing John Fetterman here today?
