Looks as though Sluggo will be working off those records with yet another job, at the Music Shop!

That's a beauty! And a lovely setting for it. Nothing is more welcome on a long walk in a park than finding a well-placed bench to rest on, well done!

That lovely kitty! This is the cutest thing I've seen in days, thank you.

Very sweet and welcoming - excellent work!

It's great reading these old comic strips. I don't think I ever appreciated how clever/funny Bushmiller could be, when I originally read Nancy in the 60s and 70s.

If the 6 yo depicted in all these incidents is the same person, you have a real world-beater on your hands, there! 😄

On the other hand, the most capable people I have ever known have been daughters at some point in their lives.

I mean, who else wants to adopt Sluggo? The poor kid always has such a miserable time.

Tastes vary, but for me: 'Elvira' by The Oak Ridge Boys. Still cringing 44 years later... don't even have to hear it, just thinking about it...
(Or 'Achy Breaky Heart'...close call.)

Spot on! Here's one voice saying I adore your kitty photos, exactly as they are presented. They are a highlight of my day. 🙂

Wow, that's a brutal one! But I did LOL, so that's a good start to the day.

Congratulations! How very cool.
As a side note - and because I never thought to have the chance - I want to tell you how much I loved 'Smoke City' and 'Fever House'.
Now, back to the audio-book of 'The Devil by Name'. (Xe Sands is brilliant!)

I love these ones during the War. There must have been millions of people who turned to Nancy, and other comics, daily, as a way of escaping the world for just a little while...
hmm...kind of like now.

I'd like to think that stilt-walking was such a common job back then that this person's elevated sign was meant to advertise lunch locales for the walkers from Bill's Books, Jane's Wedding Gowns, Smitty's Engine Repairs and the Majestic Royal Theater. 🙂

Thank you so much for posting these! They do hold up incredibly well (so many are truly clever/funny), and along with cat/dog videos, they are helping to keep me sane in these crazy times.
There is a core of decency in these that is missing from so much of the world. Thanks so much.

Yes, it says 'continued' in the lower right of the last panel. I really like that the Fritzi Ritz comics often are multi-day storylines.

This is great, very sweet.
I remember disliking the Nancy comic strip in the '60s, because it seemed so corny. Nowadays I love it because it seems so corny. :)

I saw the picture first and thought this must be a tribute to David Lynch.
But wow, these look tasty - great gift!

I honestly had to get to the third '"He's still..." before I knew which one of them you were talking about.
Crazy times...
